One thing people seem to have not grasped fully is that the EWS have essential "dumbed down" the sharp end of the race series to facilitate TV production. The Pro-stage is all about TV, a stage that most often finishes near the paddock or a town, short enough to have multiple cameras placed on it and practiced once raced twice. Change is good but that's not going to be an improvement for us as spectators or the riders who were able to handle the steepness of the old track. A very different race.

Hopefully they’ve done some more improvements to the new track compared to the original helmet cam video released a couple months(iirc) ago. Didn’t look World Cup worthy then, starting to look more promising now. The lower steeps of Andorra are what made it iconic and in my opinion one of the best wc tracks of all time.

Okay, I've investigated the track cycling thing they're so self-gassed about. They did, indeed, choose 18 men and 18 women trackists. Gave them costumes and trotted them out under lights. are people bummed about the ads on a red bull broadcast? i can't say i've ever noticed them in a way that detracted from the watching experience.

Obviously all this is speculation but damn I'm worried. Loved that you could watch the full replay whenever. Living in the PST time zone I would normally wake up, go for a quick ride and then watch the full replay at my leisure. As long as you stayed off social media it was like watching live.
