i had a pair of AVS. the shield broke in a crash and replacement was basically the same cost as a new set. redonkulous, so now they are gathering dust. VC, i would consider a pair of these, but only if you can get replacement shields when the inevitable happens for a fair price.

The statement "efficiency is 100%" is a bit misleading. Sure, you may not have measurable energy loss through your device, but that doesn't mean that a rider will put as much power to the rear wheel with your device as they would without it. It's kind of like walking up stairs with springs on your feet (or replacing your chain with a stiff elastic band). That said, depending on the stiffness of your elastomer and the amount of travel that it has, I see this as being a reasonable trade-off on the climbs and strictly positive on the descents.

Oh man, I 'm really sorry my pics have upset you. I'm not a professional photographer and haven't paid one to shoot my bike either. I was just out for a ride after work trying my new reverb (Holy Shit its good!!) and stopped to take in the scenery. They're only iPotato shots too
