In the last few years the e-bike category of mountain biking has continued to fill out and evolve, offering an impressive variety of specifically designed machines for almost every niche rider preference. With most models maintaining the heavy-yet-stable, motor-up-everything feel we’ve come to expect from pedal-assisted bikes, anyone who’s spent time aboard an e-bike has daydreamed of applying just the benefits of some motor assist to their mountain bike. A perceived unachievable blend of broader climbing potential matched with the agile, bomb hole smashing descending elements of a modern 160-170mm bike that blurs lines between assist and human-powered machine. Well...

Could they only show the liaison stages where people actually smile and ride their mtbs for fun.... the mtb world needs more of that and less go fast between the tape.

I listened to the whole podcast and it's tied with the Rooted MTB-cast as the best in recent memory. Being an even taller and longer leg guy than Charlie, I gotta say long chainstays are the bees knees. Bikes with 435 +/- stays just feel unrideable now that I have a 455+ bike. Even the slightest extra bend at the knees on a regular bike takes away what little pressure I have on the front. My long stays are worth several seconds a run plus a lot more comfort/energy savings when the trail includes turns that aren't full A-line sized...

Can't say I am that surprised that Miranda is gone. She did some big things domestically but never did much on the WC, she had 1 top 10 this year and ended 14th overall out of a field of 30. And lets be honest, she won world champs on luck when every top rider crashed out and the UCI screwed up Myriam Nicole's timing.

Huh? Stars? Nothing matters? How is that at all analogous to me suggesting performance enhancing drugs are more varied in their nature than you are suggesting. Again, you keep saying the EWS rules are clear. They aren't. http://www.enduroworldseries.com/ews-general/ews-rule-book/#_Toc5075851… Outside of the race in France (which was tested under the French anti-doping policy) there isn't consistent structured PED testing at the EWS carried out to one specific protocol. Its not clear if they'll test in competition? Out of competition? Just the top riders? Random riders? What list is being tested against? How do you submit for a TUE? Where can an...

Please articulate this one... First off, I'm not saying the testing wasn't real, I'm saying supplements such as these fall more in a grey area than EPO. EG - I could order them online right now, or go to a health food store and likely find something with them in it - and buy it without a license or a doctor on US soil. Sorry, but that's not the same as a pharmaceutical. Second, I'm suggesting doping is very vaguely defined in enduro. The EWS itself has only a few hundred words in the rule book (at the end) on...

Interesting news. I'd suggest reading the interviews Jared and Richie just did on the subject first. Then read about the substances. Then remember that this is all still in the early days of being dealt with - don't get ugly on here, let the process cast a verdict. And, unlike the Team Rumors thread, keep things factual if possible and not just wildly speculative. This is science, keep things moving in the vein of facts and figures.

The logo in question is a "postobon" logo, most likely blacked out because it conflicts with red bull.

This is the same guy that threatened to pull my license in Angelfire because I (along with all the other junior pros) didn't know that a $250 UCI license was required to race Pro GRT's. If they would've told me in advance or enforced it in the first race of the series I'd understand but yelling at me for your mistake, not ok. Then at nationals threatened to DQ me during Dual Slalom practice when I was trying to set my front tire in the right spot on the gate. Then threatened to DQ and fine me during Enduro for...

Josh Bender is not a suitable judge. The fact that someone thought(thinks) he's a suitable judge is simply hilarious.
