Does anyone who runs TC Radial as front has experience in wet? I do not ride much in wet but when I do I love my HR3 and wonder if they are as good as HR3 in wet even tho TC is probably not made for those conditions. Cheers.

I ran the HR3 up front for most of last year and the TC is really, really similar in terms of tread. I think the TC rolls faster, but that could just be the difference in compound. The radial casing, though, is a thing. Where the HR3 always felt a little sketchy for me on rocks, the TC just goes straight.

Hmmm... tough question. HR3 was my all time favorite before this too. Up front, I think they handle really similarly. I didn't notice any difference in drift on the front leaning into the channel knobs. I think TC brakes a little bit better, and double TC really felt like it rolled faster than my old HR3/Kryptotal Re setup. At the pressures I was running with Grav casing, the casing felt kinda normal except it was really excellent going over roots. There's a couple spots on local trails where there's roots running diagonally across steep corners and they felt like they...

I'm currently testing a DF hub on my Forbidden Dreadnought V2 and will report back with my longterm findings. In short though, yes it works and makes the bike feel much better and more bottomless. It does as advertised by pretty much much isolating the brake forces from drivetrain forces in all but the most extreme cases.

So glad I bought a new Frameworks Enduro frame instead not that I needed any more confirmation than the first ride though. If those geometry numbers are correct then that's pretty sad. Funny though if you added 20mm of stack and a 10mm rear flip chip for rear center length it would be instantly relevant. Ah well.

I have, it was excellent but didn't last long at all... mostly because the HR3 is only available in maxx gripp. For now, I am using the conti krypto rear dh soft for any application where I want dhr2 braking performance and side knob bite, but more penetration through dust/loose conditions and better wear. It pains me to run different tire mfg's front and rear, digs at my ocd for sure. That being said, DD hr3 maxx grip front, dh soft krypto rear in back is (*chefs kiss*) magical.

Having tried Radials a few time, I'd say you're not alone. One tip I have is try running a Maxxis DD up front instead of EXO+, especially if you're on an ebike. The 2ply 120tpi casing fabric is very flexible but more puncture resistant and is a bit more supportive on the sides. So you can run a little bit lower pressure, which will get some of the comfort you found with Radials. I've got a couple years riding Contis, plus most of my time before that was on Maxxis. Adjusted for actual pressure I need to keep from dinging...

any issues running a radial front and whatever rear? For me, the front tyre is everything. I could ride a bald 5 year old DH-R on the back and not care, but the front has to be MaxxGrip and brand new. Want to try the radial thing though.

Does anyone know if Maxxis is planning to release the new High Roller in MaxxTerra version? Love this tire out in front but I'd like Maxxterra in back for longer life.

Thank you for not doing this as a slideshow... So much easier to simply scroll as opposed to look, click, and wait.. It should be interesting to see what else Odyssey brings to the table.. The Thunderbolt cranks on that Fairdale is something my DJ needs..
