Two things... 1) Thank you for this! Helps see how the "super official" test could be improved upon. The best test (being its Peaty) would be Fort Bill. That'd be so rad to see!! I doubt that poor wheel would survive however. #fanboi alert...lol 2) Your avatar/handle might be the best on Vital. Lumberg (sp?) approved.

7 seconds difference is huge to attribute to the equipment. If you look at world cup racing as a game of hundreths of a second, improvements in the bike can be the difference in winning a season or a one off event like world champs. I think that video is a testament that the new bikes ARE SO MUCH better.

have to imagine teams, riders and brands now realize they can milk rumors for social media growth, so they keep cards closer. thankfully we have you steely-eyed sleuths to point out barely visible, lo-res slip-ups on zoomed-in Instagram photos paired with a few eager moles to make them lose sleep at night when something leaks Laughing

Drawing a very hard line in the sand here, and listen up Colin and everyone else. Colin - Your post was not related to Team Rumors. If you wanted to address team rumors, you would have shared the video where Kyle addressed his YouTube audience directly to discuss his health and riding future. You did not choose that. You chose an interview on a doctor's platform to flex on your own idea. Your post is not being deleted because we need people to get the idea to shape up. If you want to share discussions on vaccinations, we have places...

If you can’t figure out stan’s then you probably shouldn’t trust yourself to work on your bike.

Incredible piece of engineering! It was worth a press release. Especially love the clean graphic with the nice explanations that let me figure out how it works and the amazing features it offers! Thanks a lot Fox!

Very cool interview. Wish you all the luck. Seems like a great philosophy for a business as the world hopefully shifts to a more sustainable philosophy when it comes to consumerism.

Agree with Spomer on this. In the same way that mud spikes are known to squirm on rocks and roots, Magic Mary’s can squirm and fold on a super hard-packed trail, especially if you’re hitting a berm, steep lip, or banked lip with additional g-forces. It’s the opposite of traction- it’s super sketchy. It feels vague and weird, like taking 10 psi out of your tires.

Oh yeah, I'm totally with you and agree on every point. Cycling is not a big enough industry by any means to demand proprietary anything from global industries. They may get an exclusive cycling use deal but that's something else, it's all re-branded and upsold automotive or whatever stuff.

It might also have something to do with controlling variables for warranty claims. Or in a more cynical thought process, it could be an easy excuse for denying warranty claims.

No problem at all in sharing it. I'm just saying it kinda seems like 'use our proprietary oil that is otherwise more or less the same as our competitor's or Citroen's LHM, but we won't say that because we want to sell ours and we will scare you into doing that by claiming our product will fail otherwise'. Either that or the failures are real, which, like I said, means someone is doing something weird - if Magura's oil is corrosive for Shimano brakes, what kind of seals is Magura using for them to survive? Or what is the compound...

Yeah...kids these days will never know the sensation of descending a freshly bush hogged double black grass ski slope and the further down you get, the more the morning dew leaps onto your cantilever pads and alloy rims....and the more you become a rocketship fueled by survival despite an entire fist of fingers pulling both levers in hopes you can get hem to create any friction whatsoever. And then....soaking up the waterbars on your 2.1" tire equipped hardtail with 2" Answer Alumilite riser bar and Judy SL Ti converted to the 3" Judy DH coil White Brothers kit. We tasted...

as a package engineer, i'm probably the only one here interested in the technical side of the it. one thing that I find interesting is that they filed a US patent for a box they don't plan on using here. thinking about it some more, on the surface that may seem odd, but it's probably more to keep their IP from being poached here, so others don't see the design in use in other markets then implement it in the US market.

"If anyone else is interested, it worked just fine for me, and I'm sure it isn't recommended by anyone officially, but boy does it work well out on the trails. So much so that I downsized rotors, which I've never done before." I ran the same setup for a while (but with Magura rotors) and I also had no issues. They seemed to go through brake pads fast, that was my only complaint. Loved the huge amount of power. They were super short throw at the lever but I still felt like they had good modulation, it was just over...
