Fine, I'll bite. So I own a Forbidden Dreadnought and I also own the cascade link for the dreadnought. It is a well made product that feels and look like a quality part. It fit perfectly, and with a bit of help from Pinner machine shop, it worked great with my EXT. So props to cascade for the great part. 10/10. Is this part still on my bike? No. Would I recommend it to other dreadnought owners? Probably not. I actually feel like the link made the first 2/3rds of my travel amazing, like seriously the best I've ever felt...

It would definitely be cool to work with more companies on aftermarket stuff. I’m not really sure why there’s pushback with links. No one (there are a couple of exceptions) is doing different options for their own bikes. It wouldn’t really make sense from a supply chain standpoint. The volumes aren’t on the same level as complete bikes. More options are always nice to have.

That's all good and well but lets face some facts here - Cube bikes are junk (I worked closely with the brand at a distribution level), the kinematics were average at best and the frame failure rate we saw was out of control, more than 50% of carbon bikes sold came back with cracked frames and they were horrendously slow with turnaround time on replacement frames, always looking for excuses. Saracen is a walmart/whatever brand so no matter the caliber of the rider you'll never get results riding a piece of crap down the hill. Personality or not, Danny Hart...

Kerry works for Bikeflights now. After Kona fired all the riders and team managers in June Bikeflights was nice enough to give Kerry a wrapped sprinter. They want him to actually enjoy bike racing in 2024, and they will be covering all his domestic travel and racing(he just has to be the face of Bikeflights and the events he heads to). His priority for race bikes next year are a superduper light FS bike for stage racing- and real CX bikes. Big ups to Bikeflights for supporting atheletes doing what they love.

Throw in a NW Cup, DH Rockies, and BMDH round and we'll have ourselves the world's most diverse DH series (terrain wise). SoCal dust, East Coast grease, the high alpine Rockies, and PNW loam in a single series?!
