I don't know the person in question, but I can tell you that after 26 years of turning wrenches for a living that neither being an engineer or a good (even great) rider absolutely DOES NOT mean that you know how to work on bikes.

HA! Or that... I had a feeling he was going off the rails when his first move was to pair the Mavens with XTR rotors. He should have read the manual instead.

There’s also the incredibly likely chance this random Youtuber is going out of his way to find anything remotely negative about a product that has generally favorable reviews solely to generate clicks.

I massively appreciate everyone’s help on this. I emailed Banshee yesterday, so I hope I hear something back soonish. As for the shock, it will be older. More from the MY 19-20 era, so not a super recent one.

I would contact Banshee first, and if they don't have an answer for your ideal shock tune or shim configuration I would reach out to Rockshox. In my experience, there's no public chart for this info, these sorts of questions have been almost impossible to Google, and manufactures tend to be tightlipped on this topic. Good luck!

Definitely contact Banshee first to see what they recommend as a base tune. The Super Deluxe shock will have some tuning identifiers under the serial number, but you'll also be able to see that by typing the serial number into trailhead.rockshox.com Once in Trailhead, you can click "documents", scroll through, and you'll see the "RockShox Rear Shock Piston Tuning Guide" Hope this helps!

I just recently bought a new to me 2022 Banshee Titan, and the stock X2 is on its last legs. A friend of mine has offered up his Super Deluxe to take its place, and I know this is nit picking and will likely not make a difference, but it came out of a Specialized Enduro and I would like...

I haven’t heard anything about “S” sizing either, but can also confirm Swat on both models. No more brain and 120/120mm on the standard Epic, 130/120mm on the Evo.

i know it's not just brakes, but it's nuts 1k for sram brakes, must be crazy to pay that much for something mass produced, when you can get direttissima brakes, handmade and checked for a tad more, or other options anyway with much higher quality like hope

Seconded. I thought Whoop was well known in the cycling world. A ton of people around me have been using them for the past 3 years or so to track all aspects of recovery, they usually pair this with a power meter and base their training around all of that info and make a reference point of data on how...
