3/20/2025 11:51am If that's true it will probably be not much lighter than the old one if at all. Bummer. I want light full power bikes not moar watts.

3/14/2025 9:47am Idk about your customers but I once saw a helmetless 70yo guy riding on a fireroad to a cabin on a rotwild emtb with approximately 50% sag.

3/13/2025 3:56am If you ride in the alps you'll notice that many emtbs are parked near cabins reachable by fireroads owned by middle aged couples that definitely do not ride trails. The emtb is basically the SUV of the bike world. They like the look but they don't have the technical ability to ride trails. Also in germany we have government subsidized...

3/13/2025 3:03am You have to keep in mind tho that most people who buy those bikes never use them for their intended purpose. Especially when it comes to emtbs.

2/24/2025 2:39am But Shimano levers are not cheese to the level Magura are... Feels a bit like ranting for the sake of ranting...

2/23/2025 2:30am Another way of saying "it's not the bike, it's the rider" 😉 My point being, if Saints are good enough for a rider of the skill of Brage, it will do for most of us mortals. D ifferent strokes for different folks, i was joking a bit, this is a tech derailment thread in the end.

2/23/2025 2:02am Bs. Shigura is best bang for the buck if you know how to set it up with plutonline and like the hard bite point.

2/15/2025 4:54am I never prep my rotors. I just run cheap 2,50 chinese resin pads and they all bite the same. To bed them in more quickly just use a few drops of water.

2/15/2025 4:51am An update to my Shigura experiences: I've decided I prefer the Servowave levers over the non-Servowave levers. Not because of the Servowave itself, but because they have the free-stroke adjuster. Interestingly I don't actually use the freestroke adjuster, on M9120 it comes already adjusted in the close to the handlebar position, on M9100 unfortunately the resting position of the lever is always too far away (for my tastes).

1/31/2025 12:34pm The RS has MIPS Integra Split “ which combines an impact-savvy, dual-density foam layer and a Low Friction Layer between the two, to reduce rotational forces in a crash that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.” The other speed frames have MIPS Air Node, which actually increases your likelihood of a brain bleed as punishment for not buying the $280 helmet.

3/1/2025 1:28am Especially ebike weight needs to be seen in the context of rider weight and physical/technical ability. If you're light and want to jump don't go for the gearbox bike with the biggest battery, a coil shock and heavy casings front and back. Some frames don't even work that great with coil shocks. And if you're not really physically strong and...

1/29/2025 1:34am The old tires aren't suddenly unrideable. I ride the old casings in the back because I don't need/want that much grip there. I also think the rolling resistance is lower but I'm not sure if that is true. Its just that the radials are extremely loud on asphalt.

1/27/2025 10:27am Not everyone riding an ebike is heavy and needs a big battery and the burliest parts. I think I could get away with a very light mid to full power motor and a mid 500-600wh battery on most rides. So my bike doesn't have to be heavier than 22-23 kg ready to ride. I think the weight of a frame...
