5/11/2025 9:05pm I want to know what was going on with that spot? Berm with a weird root in it. Sucks for both. Also the medics on the mountain must have been scratching their heads.

5/11/2025 10:00am After watching the recap from day one, it looks like Rudeau switched to a 36, so I guess the answer is that he we wanted a little less travel and a lighter fork. I can’t post the screenshot I took for some reason but you can see it pretty clearly at 14:45 in the recap video. On another note, I’ve been really encouraged by the coverage so far this year! The practice highlights, and particularly the day one recap with interviews at the end of the day, feel like they do a much better job of capturing the vibe of...

5/10/2025 10:24pm Per a recent review on here I grabbed a sram db8 for 60$ and slapped that on my dj. More then enough power and it comes on smooth so I don’t head slap when saving myself from looping out of a manual.

5/10/2025 10:20pm @cameron.hoefer that would make sense. I know other companies have messed around with just doing a new link to convert to an enduro bike. That’s rad though if they are going to use her and the ion team for prototyping

5/10/2025 4:18pm Kudos to irish legend Greg Callaghan. He is the only rider still compiting that was on the first ever race back in May 2013 in Punta Ala. At the end of past year he was also the one with most races finished on EWS/EDR history. Isabeau was close and now that she is not racing, Greg stands alone as the one that has seen "all". Good to see him on top

Spomer, this is like the THIRD race you have been at this year! Whats dragging you out of the cave? The bottom before and after the last jump look... interesting. If more rain comes are people even going to be able to get through that part?

5/7/2025 7:29pm I spent more time than I would like to admit trying to fix my shifting. It would shift fine for some of the cassette but some gears I couldn't get to work right no matter how i adjusted. i even replaced a derailleur hanger. Turns out i routed the cable of my shimano derailleur backwards.

5/7/2025 7:28pm My best dumb wrenching move came from being too clever. I run 203mm rotors, and last summer I kept going back and forth between running a Lyrik and Zeb on the front of one of my bikes. The Zeb is 200mm native post mount so it needs just spacers for 203 rotors, and the Lyrik is 180mm native post mount. Well, I started out running an old 20mm adapter on the Lyrik with the spacers. At some point I got a 23mm post mount adapter for it so I wouldn't need to fiddle with the little spacers. I used it...

5/7/2025 7:27pm Share your dumb bike problems. “I can’t believe how many fixes I tried before realizing my front wheel was loose” or the like. My most recent: gnarly knocking noise coming from bike. Sounded like I was bottoming out super hard. Was stressing about my shock, then check all my bolts thinking it sounded a bit like a loose yoke bolt. Didn’t find anything wrong. Realized it could be coming from the front end, echoing through frame, maybe it’s the Zeb fender clacking against the lowers? Sounded pretty close but wasn’t consistent enough. Finally realized three rides in what it sounded...

StudBeefpile Added a comment about video How Do Pro Downhillers Setup Their Bikes? Luca, Dante and Neko Discuss

This was a great watch. Loved it a lot more then the standard bike check videos. The juxtaposition of Luca and Neko is great. I love that our sport has both setups honestly. The black box super secret of Mondale, spech and canyon vs the get ‘r done of Neko and his fuckin saws all.

5/3/2025 5:22pm @TEAMROBOT i agree with you to a point. Ever put an assegai on the rear of your bike? You could make that shit out of solid metal and it would still be slow. It’s a blast if your riding steep stuff tho.

5/3/2025 6:29am 2 things, IMO the two can be done and its bullsh1t we accept it whether People are aware of it or not. 1, No faff brakes, Please can we just have brakes we can install, bleed via cup and/or via hope/automotive method but without having to mess with cycling pistons etc, dont give me "my shimanos dont give me any problems" dont bs, you dont ride them hard enough then. (i asked a shimano sponsored rider about brakes: "we HAVE to ride these, they are a team sponsor") no bs hard aligning, balancing and all that crap - brakes that...

5/2/2025 8:21pm I'm happy to report Asa is being well compensated, at a level equal to his talent and future. Despite choices aplenty, Asa decided to stay with a team capable of fully taking care of him, but also one whose business dealings have been genuine and transparent. Asa's a bright kid, but to assume he was not properly represented and took advise, especially as one of the most branded athletes in the sport is a bit dramatic. No money nor opportunity left on the table. Opportunity: Taz, Wales...Rampage? Who gets that? Money: Private for obvious reasons, but he's making more at...

5/2/2025 8:20pm DHaRCO is the team gear sponsor just like Fox is a sponsor of the Frameworks team. I don't believe that any of the riders on either team have personal gear deals. The only team in MTB that had the riders having individual gear deals was the Syndicate prior to Fox sponsoring the whole team a few years back. While Neko may not have been the top dog, he did have a fairly successful career riding for some of the top teams in our sport. His has said his goal with the team was to give his riders the things he...
