StudBeefpile Added a comment about feature Return to Earth | A Mountain Bike Movie Review
7/18/2019 9:30am
Don't worry, I got you covered. In this feature length film expect to find only ten minute of actual riding. See the same jump from ten different angles in various speeds of slow motion. Wonder if you are watching a nature documentary or a commercial as the shots flip flop between closeups of riders putting on googles and leaves slowly falling to the ground. Brett Reeder.

Mega sucks for Rachel. Benders comment about moto boots is starting to seem like a good idea.

Purple pants man had some great stuff, no clue who he is. I think the hardtail dude was Kade Edwards.

This is awesome. Another benefit to inserts is the damping they have on the ride. I would like to see another test added that measures vibration damping.

Richie, I'm stoked your coming back to racing but, YOU HAD SIX PLUS MONTHS OFF AND YOU ONLY MADE THIS ONE EDIT?!?! You could have been pumping out one of these a month at least. I demand entertainment.

Specialized pants on both of them. #teamrumors2020 EDIT: maybe they're just his friend's pants, since, you know, he 'forgot his kit' or something.

Curious, did you ever film with a gimbal? That changes it IMO. Superview + 24fps + gimbal...I could ride at 80% and it isn't that discernible to me going 100%. Everything looked fast. Btw, there are enough video nerds out there, proving this one shouldn't be *too* hard.

5/30/2019 12:47pm Its super view on the gopro. Anything shot in super view looks fast because of how it distorts objects as you pass by them. Hold your hand up in front of the video and block out everything except for the exact center. It looks much slower. Y'all are just a bunch of tin foil hat wearing nerds.

I shoulda been more descriptive and explained things better in that initial comment so that I'm not having to go back and clarify now. I answered a lot of these same accusations in the other responses I made on that same Instagram post but I'll give ya guys the goods too. I was just frustrated honestly. I had just got a message from the guys at Mountain creek who took the video respectfully telling me that they weren't going to send the video around, which was kind of them. One of the guys had sent it to someone else and...

Thought it was interesting he came down to "internet peasant land" (that's what I call it) to defend the product and ask Vital to pull the post. Part of me understands this. Part of me goes "cmon dude, that is overstepping a line you don't have control over". I understand he wants to be a good business partner for his sponsors. I understand he wants to put his best foot forward. But I'm not so sure I like him trying to pull strings to keep things hidden that really aren't that big of a deal. Reminds me of how he...

5/10/2019 12:55pm Thanks for the response guys. Thanks to Spomer and VitalMTB for the platform and shared vision of artistic integrity and pure downhill race grit. The close racing and behind the scenes stories that make it all possible is what keeps us coming back each year. Big thanks to crazy Boris for some of the finish line images in the finals show and some other days. Image credits sometimes get left out writing captions at 4am. Next stop Trans Provence and Red Bull Rampage.

51 min in. Holy fuck. Side of the sport you don't hear anything about. Wild to hear him casually talk about total vision loss. As always, amazing work Spomer and co! Love how these interviews feel more like a conversation between friends and not an interviewer trying to get through his stack of questions.
