I'm not sure when it's going to be released, but Forbidden has something more xc/dc oriented in the pipeline. They're not exactly known for making "compact" bikes. Ha ha

Have you put any thought into an s5 norco revolver? I demo'd one from my lbs (s4 at my 6'2" size). They do have proper reach for us tall boys (ironic) and they actually ride a bit bigger then the reach figures suggest. It was honestly the most fun xc-race bike I've ridden in recent memory. Appropriate stack figures, super quick on the gas, proper fit, and good fc/rc balance for an xc bike.

Look at the age of the Shore. It's at the end of it's cycle, Norco killed the Range to replace it with the 170/160mm Sight, and the only bike that the public knows about that is bigger than the Sight is the probably-maybe to be released DH bike which rumour has it will be very expensive and very limited. I went from Code RSCs to Maven silvers to Code Silvers. I can't detect a significant difference between the Code RSCs and the Code Silvers. They work well for me.

The more important question should be what does it gain you. Magnetorheological suspension works with cars because you can set it soft for the street and hard for the track. Bikes more or less just work. And we also have the option of a lockout. Then there's flightattendant. Other than marketing, what does it genuinely add?
