Completely disagree. It's like telling people to not drive old cars because the parts are hard to get. Good mechanics find a way to keep old bikes running. They aren't that complicated really, there is always a bodge to make things work. I'm not saying the servicing should be cheap, but the idea of don't ride old bikes it's too...

Yeah that's fair. I was being too judgemental without knowing the real facts. Either way, shit show, I feel bad for the poor workers. In Australian news bookings at the bike parks and trail building contracts are going strong this season, so decent turn around from the anaemic summer we had last year.

The head of YT USA was incredibly naive to consider they could keep going somehow, and did his employees a disservice by telling them to stick with him, instead of jumping ship at the earliest possible opportunity. I hope none missed out of job opportunities because yet again, a naive CEO couldn't see the freight train coming for them while...

He does, but he also talks a lot of shit, and is famously a massive nit-picker at race venues and complains a lot. So what goes around comes around really. People in scene aren't vindictive, but you can only tolerate a whinging pom so much, ya know? Still waiting for the Hardline BC announcement to come, wonder when that will...

I think the big difference is that Isle of Man and all other motorsport have a history already written in blood. We're concerned because we don't want freeride MTB to become like them. We want to improve safety so we don't just accept that people will die chasing first place, its not a value the sport aspires too. Formula 1...

I also agree with both of you. I've seen first hand how many wheels you go through in a race weekend. Having said that, Ronan either needs stronger wheels (you will still put them in the bin after the run) or to tone down the Nathan Rennie vibes. Both MSA and Loudenville were rider error though. MSA he was offline...

Also Neko has been smart to get non bike industry sponsors who have significantly bigger pockets, like loc-tite and WD40. Yes they don't have a team truck like Trek or Canyon, but that doesn't mean they're not able to pay well.

I don't see why Dak would move, unless he gets more money and better training conditions at another team. The bike is fast, the team is clearly working. Unless they are being underpaid, there isn't a lot better out there. Then again, maybe I'd take the pay cut to get of E13 rims.

I'd put Danny Hart as the biggest name to miss finals, only because he has missed more than he has made. I think we've really seen the pace rise this year and former winners have, over a whole season, been left wanting. Charlie Hatton, Danny, Finn (injury related), Matt Walker, Reece Wilson (injury related) all have been totally eclipsed by...

Yep, so a lightly used T-type chain works easily on other cassettes, the only issues are when the chain is brand new, but after a bit of wear the rollers will size down to the standard of a brand new (non T-type) 12 speed anyway. I just assumed they would make the new DH cassette use their new chains, eliminates...

It's different to the Zeb we've seen, and the drawings in the patent filling. The prototype Zeb has a twistable dial at the footnut, this boxxer has a normal footnut.

Interesting, its different to the new Zeb spy shots that have a distinct twistable nut on the bottom side of the air leg, that we assumed was for the new elastomer based bottom out bumper the filed the patent for at the start of the month (spy shots match the patent diagram).

Stoked for Dak what a turnaround for him over this season. Where did Richie Rude find the pace? He's been struggling in DH all season really, and suddenly turned it on

Possibly. There's an interesting phenomenon during big downturns you see in the investment/finance world where after big crashes a lot of people exit the industry for good. You think that people will learn to spot the bubbles and not repeat the same mistakes, but actually the companies are staffed with either juniors or people who weren't in the industry during...
