Not the first or last time any one, ever and in any sport wins a race because of other rider's mistake or bad luck. That doesn't make the win any less significant.

"Upstate" starts on the other side of the Bronx line, so yes, the Catskills is upstate...4 hours north of that is "might as well be Canada".

Well, here we go… Pre-industry: (approx date owned) 1980 - late 70's Royce Union, purple, w/ removable TT 1983 - Columbia BMX, black w/ yellow mags 1985 - Saint Tropez Aerolite 1987 - Haro Sport 1992 - Trek 820 (still in Mom & Dad's garage) 1993 - Cannondale R400 1994 - Specialized Stumpjumper M2 (sold/traded w/ brother for below FSR)...

So savage! A lot of badassery in there! The '03 track was a good one! Cedric beat Rennie in that one IIRC, crossing the line without a saddle.

This was the go around line on rider's right. The "pro" line on the left was this but steeper. Not sure if it was a mandatory go around that year. Nothing beats the burliness of those old late 90's-early 00's Mount Snow NCS tracks.

Good point. Still, they could just press different dropouts on based on the desired wheel size, then use the same stanchions, uppers, and most of the internals. Probably would still save them on stocking and production.

I wonder if they are doing this to cut down on the number of forks they are carrying. I bet you can swap an internal spacer and make this fork work for 26, 27.5, 29. If so, would definitely make production and stocking easier on them. You gotta be thinking they wish they had a 20 mm thru axle for this beast too.
