a.k.a. testing. No point in making a longer frame only to find out it's too long. You start with what you know and comfortable with and work from there.

Fixing the cable at the post collar adds to the stack height of the post which can reduce the amount of post travel one can have. Internal routing has it's own problems but this is one major advantage it has over externally routed posts you describe.

I'm totally with you here, but also totally biased, since I have always liked Intense, but never been a fan of Gwin. To me the Intense team of the last two years was the most fun out there: scoring good results with young guns, obvious chemistry among them, some stunning progressive bikes (one of the first to put out 29ers etc.) and always looking fresh in those loud TLD kits, because who the hell else was going to wear grey and purple polka dots anyway? I'm pretty sure that even though people on here feel that they are psychic they actually aren't. So trying to guess what you seen and think If I've seen it is pretty impossible. So instead of the did you see what I see why not just say what you see. Then we don't have to guess your ambiguity. Or was it the Gwin riding a unicorn vid that I just watched.

Hi, Yes, I am. I love it so much I don't see myself ever going back to air. I'm fairly heavy (105kg) so I run a 650lb coil. In terms of settings, I initially started with the DVO recommended settings which were fairly close to perfect. I eventually settled on 2-3 of clicks firmer on both compression settings and faster on the rebound. I find the dials do their job very well and the changes you make are noticeable. This is the case of getting enough speed, not the size of the gap. And if some of the fastest racers in the world have issues getting speed, you think it would be otherwise for Fest people? The run ins at Fest are all smooth and clean. Not the case here. All the top 80 racers could clear any gap at Fest any time.
