Albert is a 3-2 tread pattern with taller profile that delivers more grip in varying terrain (bonus - the 2.6" version has taller knobs, a popular choice amongst some of our EDR athletes). Romy is a 3-2-2 with shorter more wide/stable blocks. Because of the reduced height and more open pattern it will pack up less and roll faster. From...

For the Tacky Chan i've done Trail Radial front, Trail diagonal rear. Nice fast rolling combo with great braking and cornering. Mary or Albert Gravity Radial front, TC Gravity Radial Rear is better for varying terrain imo. Worth highlighting the updated Gravity construction (with the blue "Pro" label) is significantly more supportive, lots of changes were done. For the Romy...

You looking for a 27.5x2.6 i'm guessing? Because all other sizes should be covered. Definitely not kaput, the Albert comes in a 27.5x2.6 Gravity version. Limited mold capacity usually dictates new model sizes. 27.5x2.8 Radial versions of some tires are in the works.

Tacky Chan gets radial offerings, updated Ultra Soft compound, and a revised tread pattern (on just the radial variants). This revised tread pattern makes it a lot more friendly during corner transitions. Check it out. The Tacky Chan is also replacing the Big Betty. The ROMY replaces the hans dampf. Trail / All-mountain tire. It's our fastest rolling radial tire...

You are spot on about harder compound on the rear wheel will be faster. Quick clarifier: My comments were more about casing orientation (radial versus diagonal) rather than casing layup (gravity, trail, race, etc). " a softer and more grippy rubber compound has a larger effect on rolling speed when compared to choosing a radial casing versus a standard bias-ply."...

Yeah I find it pretty odd, since it’s the latest version I the tyre, also, the max pressure has dropped from 38 to 36 psi

these are early moulds that may be used to produce both TLR and non-TLR tires. All Schwalbe TLE/TLR tires can be used with hookless rims, NON-TLR tires should be used with hooked rims. You have a TLR tire, as indicated by the label, so it is compatible with hookless rims.

Your wishes will be addressed soon. But also worth noting that enduro/gravity casing tires can only go so fast. A tires casing is one of the biggest contributor to rolling speed. See my previous comment about this exact topic.
Radial Rock Razor, that would be cool! But there are better tires on the horizon Smile Trying to determine this tire snapshot from just the side profile is actually pretty hard, especially since we do prototype testing with the Cannondale Factory Team. But i think the boring answer is the correct one in this case, and to me it looks...

What I managed to throw together for the new pedal bike was a Trinotal rear and Xynotal E soft front. The trail casing on the Trinotal was way too flimsy as I expected, put a hole in it immediately. Almost as good as anything grip-wise on sand/granite though I suppose what I'm waiting for is the "Roamy", whatever that ends up being, can't find any sneak photos of it. In the meantime, need to decide between a Forekaster and Nobby Nic for a rear. Anyone have any opinions either way on those two tread patterns or Exo+/Super Trail?

i'd say it depends, they feel slower on smooth terrain, road climbs, as you get to roots, rocks they're faster as they "hug"the obstacle rather than wasting energy going around it by bouncing on it, that's my experience while climbing, downhill i'm faster as they track better and grip more while being more comfortable

I really like the wicked will. Fast rolling and you can get it in a variety of casings. Pretty happy with this on the rear and a Tacky Chan on the front for my trail bike.

I tried a few different inserts (CC XC, CC Pro, Tubolight, Tannus) when they took off, mostly with lighter weight casings, and hated them. Besides the ride feel being yuck, they repeatedly warped casings. Heavier casing with no inserts feels much better to me. I'm a lighter rider, and don't ride a lot of rocks though, so that's a factor. But even if I did, I feel like it's way less hassle to just run DH casings, appropriate pressures, and decent rims. Also, FWIW, 1 of the 2 rim failures I've had was with an insert. (The other was just...

In that instance, you'd think not landing straight on a landing is more to blame with the crash than the tire potentially blowing off because of a insert? The instances where i've heard of tires getting levered off the rim from a insert has been in higher speed cornering scenarios, usually on natural terrain.

Tire tech and rim flange designs have improved enough that I don't think there is a need for inserts anymore. In fact, inserts can cause more headache than benefit. They can act as a lever and promote blow offs. First hand account from one of our Enduro racers a couple of seasons back: So, turns out it was my insert...

Thank you! Do you mean cooking BBQ or eating? Because we've heard the "Nashville 20" - as in you gain 20 pounds when you first move here - is a thing. You can't throw a rock here without hitting a BBQ, hot chicken, burger, or taco place. On the topic of tires... the trails here skew more towards XC with some flow bits thrown in. I had Dissectors on my Stumpjumper front and rear, but even that tread is a bit too much for around here. Swapped out to an Ikon rear and Forekaster front yesterday, which was an improvement...
