2/22/2024 6:12am I kind of agree with mrssamhill. Maybe Laurie and Jackson make it look easy, but it does look more like the ultimate bike park/jump line than the gnarliest DH track on the planet. Maybe the dry weather is making it easier to ride. A bit of rain will shake things up for sure.

Intense would seem like the easy answer. But why would you and the brand go radio silent for 2 straight months while you're rolling the frame out of production. You'd want it known Gwin is sticking with his design from day 0. So let's eliminate Intense.

This will hopefully live long as one of the best pieces of journalism our sport has ever produced, right up there with Mike Ferrentino and Steve Jones’ best. Olly and Davi were incredibly well prepared, and so gentle, engaging, and patient, all at the same time. They should be proud of their side of the work here. But obviously Rob’s candor and vulnerability was the biggest takeaway. Hundreds of thousands of words and opinions have already been shared about what we all lost when WB/D took over the broadcasting of World Cup mountain biking, and Rob is top of that...

I’m a bike nerd, not a comic nerd. However, I will say that Moonraker was a comic character prior to a James Bond film. With that being said, I still completely missed the mark because mondraker was actually named after the mandrake comic… whoops hahahaha (this is what happens when you think to make a background as the recording starts and you grab the first image on google that you see lol) Regardless, I hope you all enjoyed the background and now we all have an inside joke to talk about just like what dak said about pinky… but don’t...

You're correct, Mooonraker was a cartoon before it was a film. And it was a novel before being a cartoon. But the image you pulled is from the film. Awesome job either way, made me laugh :-)

1/8/2024 11:52am if he didn’t win a world champs when he was completely dominating the sport, I’m not sure he’ll be able to win one now. I’d love him to prove me wrong though. I’d like to hear more of him in the booth. Aaron’s input last year improved the whole broadcast. He’s a natural on the mic.

1. DH racing is not comparable to alpine ski racing b/c you can't get on course & stay on course as a spectator. That is a big advantage in drawing money to the resorts for a World Cup. 2. World Cup experiences success in the 60 man field b/c it does allow for a finale with either surprise gypsy times OR a guy like Gwin or Amaury (both outside protected) to get through to qualifying for finals with damaged equipment or wrecks.
