4/10/2026 4:44pm @onxx answers for ya - - No rebound kits available for 3.2. R ebound is only available with the R55 tune - For FA, HSC is set to the middle or 0 setting for the open position. It's fixed like the Charger 3.1

4/10/2026 4:44pm Tagging in @TEAMROBOT who has ridden new Zeb Select+ and Podium. My two cents would be that if you're worried about lugging extra weight up the hill, and are considering a new Zeb FA, I would do that for the lockout/lower weight.

4/10/2026 4:44pm I haven't had the chance to ride the new 2026 Zeb (except around the parking lot so far), but I will say that if you don't like pedaling a FA Zeb uphill when the FA lockout isn't working, I don't imagine you'll like pedaling the Podium uphill, either. One of the selling points of the Podium is how supple it is and how easy it is to break into the stroke, but that also means it's supple and easy to break into the stroke when you're climbing. The Podium bobs a lot when I stand on climbs, compared to other...

4/9/2026 9:35am Correct me if I’m wrong, but “nominal” is effectively meaningless right? Each manufacturer can claim whatever “nominal” value they want. As far as I know there’s no formal or legal definition, no formal testing procedure, etc. So all DJI has to do is say their motor is “750w nominal” and it is?

4/8/2026 9:23am Flow mountain bike stated it was because of the friction reductions sram employed in the new vivid made the touchdown feature no longer needed. SRAM claims it’s the most supple air shock on the market. Flow said that the touchdown technology was essentially a bandaid fix to friction and flow issues on the previous generation that have since been worked...

4/7/2026 1:55pm Yeah this is the reason why they made the C1-generation air springs, purely so the fork would rest at full extension and end those complaints. Problem was it rode worse and they have since changed back towards larger negative volumes which do sag under their own weight As for tuning, Rockshox tend to release service documents on day one, UNLIKE SOME BRANDS https://docs.sram.com/en-US/publications/1MdgH61bPulKX0ksJ8f3UH/SM%20-%… Super interesting for rockshox - they actually have mid valve check shims and spring changes as part of the tunes. Although it does not appear to have options for rebound tuning? Ignore the IFP spring rates -...

4/7/2026 12:59pm How does the DH performance compare between the Zeb new and the Podium? Would you put them in the same category? I have the old 3.1 FA zeb and like it, but I got a demo on a bike with a podium and it was kind of amazing. Felt like next gen performance for sure. Ate up braking bumps and...

4/7/2026 10:16am I passed along your shim kit questions to RockShox, will let ya know when I hear back. The jump between HSC clicks has felt seamless to me. Granted, you only have two additional damping positions (+1, +2), but I can run +2 and it isn't harsh in a way that makes the fork feel like its skipping off compressions. But it is firmer, which can be less comfy. That's why I go for +1, it splits the difference nicely. With Grip X2, I usually run 4-5 clicks out from closed (out of 10 clicks). Any more closed, and it starts...

4/7/2026 9:25am Are there shim kits available for the 3.2? With 3.1 they had different rebound tunes you could reshim to. I think they also had different compression kits. On the FA version is the HSC adjustable in any way? Even if via shims, or is it completely fixed like with 3.1 (no shims or anything available)? What “setting” is the FA...

4/6/2026 4:13pm It depends on which versions you are asking about. The Magnotal grip is close to the same speed as the ground control T7 (assuming the "T7" compound is the same in both GC and purgatory etc). The magnotal I think is more of a hardpack/loose over hard tire. I haven't ridden it on the front, but I do have it...

4/6/2026 1:41pm Looks like the new master cylinder is mounted at a shallower angle to the bars, like the sram brakes are now. Also looks like a new bar clamp and they moved the door for the bladder to the inside, facing the bars.

4/4/2026 4:25pm Last year, for one of my engineering classes I did a simulation in Ansys titled “The influence of the axle diameter on the torsional stiffness in an USD bicycle fork”. It was an exercise more focused on Ansys, not on being scientific, but still the results were interesting. Here’s a link to the presentation . TLDR: 20mm was only 4% stiffer

4/4/2026 11:45am In reality though, torsional flex is coming from where, braking forces, and steering? Darren from push has talked about how there is little actual ground reaction torque from steering. I get that the front wheel sometimes gets trapped between some rocks, or in a rut, but it's pretty rare right? I guess I'm just wondering how the braking forces might...

4/3/2026 6:51pm I think with these inverted forks, the issues people are talking about with regard to axle stiffness is the ability of the legs to move independently. The hub and axle are the main thing keeping the lower legs moving together. The only other real issue I’ve heard of, is of some of the more XC intend forks having some twist...
