They were very careful to announce this on March 31st and not yesterday.

Graphite powder is a very common lubricant used in lots of places, nothing to say it can't work on some parts of a bicycle. I am a little sceptical about it being able to penetrate the chain rollers in the way a liquid would.

A few points that I consider: if you follow the fc/rc convos most riders who are saying they need a longer CS are taller riders. The debate has mostly ended up with a desire for proportional stays, not necessarily longer stays overall. I think that mediums tend to ride pretty darn well from what I hear, and I think the ratio will probably attest to that… From a business perspective i kinda have to applaud them. They seem to understand where they have an opportunity not only overall but even down to a size-specific market share opportunity. Smaller sized frames...

I know this is dangerously close to a chainstay derail, but I love that Forbidden made a 120mm bike with a 464mm chainstay in the XL size. That's real long, but if you don't like it you can buy literally any other XL lightweight 120mm bike. Curious how it rides. Could be sick. [Editor's note: I THINK THIS COUNTS AS AN INNOVATION]

A lot of people use these kinds of bikes for XC races. Some races like XCOs probably no one carries anything. Other races like Moab Rocks probably most people are carrying something on at least one of the days because the risk of a flat tire is so high racing mostly blind with XC tires in Moab. Other races like...

Bosch Gen 4. 200km? System turns off randomly after 10 minutes every time I think I've solved the issue. I'm assuming it's a faulty overheating sensor but I've had 3 Bosch techs plug in and say nothing is wrong. Haven't been able to get a warranty so It's been a nice tease for the last two years in my garage.

I’m curious why they didn’t go with a Ti axle. Good place to save weight and this isn’t a budget product, I don’t think any potential consumers would not buy if it was $100 more

I may be biased because I can call Charlie a friend BUT I gotta say this was a great piece. Getting the candied interviews out of the three was amazing. It seems like more often than not staff around a product launch are tight lipped and reading from the PR cue cards. This last weekend I got to pedal around a bike with an inverted fork, and while it was probably waaay to soft for the amount of beef I pack, god damn did it feel amazing. Thanks dude!

Great review! I would love to see a comparison between this and the Intend Infinity. Both seem to be priced similarly but I’m currently leaning towards the Intend due to the dual crown stiffness plus the travel adjustability

First of all, the robot wore the correct shirt for the interviews, and that’s all of this review that I needed to watch. 10/10.

This was my exact thought. A 40 is about 100 grams more and a Dorado about 300, not huge. I would think you also save a few grams on stem and shorter steer tube with a dual crown but that’s marginal. I do know some brands say their frames aren’t compatible with a dual crown fork. So if you have one of those frames this would make sense. Really hoping to see review comparing this fork, a Push, an Ohlins and through a dual crown fork in too just for fun.

I think generally stiffer chassis benefits lightweight riders a ton. I don't think there is anyone who thinks their fork works just as well on the brakes as it does off. As you mentioned the leverage on the fork is insane; that problem doesn't just go away because the rider loses 30-40 pounds. That's all the difference there is between a lightweight 130lb rider, and a "normal" 170lb rider. Is Jackson Goldstone struggling to win on a 40 because it's too stiff? Sure doesn't seem like it. So as a lighter rider myself (~130lbs) I don't think the fears over...
