I’m just gutted for Jess for this but at least she’s going to be ok, eventually. I hope it’s not bad enough to sideline the season for her.

Agreed! my buddy and I were sleuthing the other day when we saw the schedule dates and it all lined up to three east coast venues at the end, not Whistler then the final two east coast. It’s possible but not probable. Bromont was the most logical conclusion

I'm pretty sure it will be Bromont, Snowshoe, MSA. The travel time is too short to get rigs from the west coast to the east in time to set up. Also, Bromont has been putting in an epic amount of work this summer building new stuff and working on old stuff.

LOAM ALERT! I am enjoying a couple days in Andorra, and the crew at Vallnord have been working on some new sections for the World Cup track. Looks good and raw. Not ultra steep, but enough to make the section interesting, should be plenty of lines. The previous track will always be better for me, but you can't argue this guys are putting in the work. Looks sick.

ugh, that's so rough! bernard's POV from yesterday was so rad with her following him (until she wrecked her ankle). was on a zoom call early this morning with all the female riders out there (minus jess). tahnee and crew pushing each other and getting some good practice working through the features earlier this week. the comradery of the women who stepped up to experiment with the course was exciting to see. will have more on that soon. here's a red bull raw from practice and they've said that hardline quali on saturday is canceled due to weather. race is...

working on a g-out project from national champs (full gallery up later), but these two photos caught my eye w/ the chain slacked out between the idler and the front chainring. is that common? i don't feel like i've noticed that before. it's such a short gap to see significant slack like that. i guess i shouldn't be surprised considering the abuse DH bikes get put through.

it is my educated opinion, after looking at the photos, overlaying in linkage, assessing & comparing the kinematics with my extensive catalogue of images of Sam Hill, numerous CAD reverse engineering and plugging the outputs into my google supercomputer I have come to the conclusion that BIKE LOOKS FUCKIN SICK!

From Steber's tweet, it also sounds like weldable 3D printed aluminum wasn't an option until now. Which would support your point that CNC then 3D printing was the only option. I think it's been awesome getting to see this product development process play out in real time out in the open. Lots of popcorn.

One Ghost Added a comment about feature The Anti-Social Media – A Thread

I'm sad I work in an industry that relies on social media and puts a major share into its ROI on likes and follows. If I wasn't in marketing I would not have any social media but because of my lot in life, here I am (not here on Votal, that's social enough) but all the meta platforms for work. c'est la vie 🤷🏽‍♂️

In answer to: “so, what do you guys want to see on here???” Less links to social media. Make forums great again. I deleted my FB account years ago when I realized all it did was make people depressed and spread nutjob conspiracy theories. I never started an IG account because it's just a different flavor of FB. I deleted my Twitter account after Elon bought it so the right-wing trolls could spew their hate unhindered.

Social media brought us the omnipresent and egregiously disgusting scourge that are influencers. A travesty, really. A slap in the face of every pro athlete. For that alone, social media deserves to die a death. And I certainly wouldn't miss it if it all went away.
