Looks like Pinkbike racing team to me (Conti tires+ Manitou), so testing proto reserve wheels ? I'm wondering what would be the updates on those.

don't think anybody's pointed it out yet, but I just noticed these are using the same bleed screw as the DB8s, implying they're running mineral oil. incoming mineral oil Codes?

i've never been to hardline nor have seen the 1199 (yet). watching the 1199 vid, i whole-heartedly think it's generally overall as gnarly as hardline. sure hardline has the road gap and 90-ft jumps which are sensational features, but they get hit by everyone and don't seem to have much impact on the race. the 1199 looks so freaking steep and rough for A LONG time in sections. IMO that's gnarlier than fest-size jumps in the middle of the track. again, internetter opinion which means absolutely nothing, but i didn't think it was a silly question. edit - is bernard...

And Loic just posted his view of the Loudenville track. There's a spot about halfway down where everyone is taking a wide right outside line around a very steep bit where straight down the face would be way faster. Perhaps that's where an earlier poster mentioned a two story drop?

Dave, I heard a whisper of Killington, not Bromont. They just hosted an FIS Women's World Cup, so maybe feeling saucy?

I’m just gutted for Jess for this but at least she’s going to be ok, eventually. I hope it’s not bad enough to sideline the season for her.

Agreed! my buddy and I were sleuthing the other day when we saw the schedule dates and it all lined up to three east coast venues at the end, not Whistler then the final two east coast. It’s possible but not probable. Bromont was the most logical conclusion

I'm pretty sure it will be Bromont, Snowshoe, MSA. The travel time is too short to get rigs from the west coast to the east in time to set up. Also, Bromont has been putting in an epic amount of work this summer building new stuff and working on old stuff.

LOAM ALERT! I am enjoying a couple days in Andorra, and the crew at Vallnord have been working on some new sections for the World Cup track. Looks good and raw. Not ultra steep, but enough to make the section interesting, should be plenty of lines. The previous track will always be better for me, but you can't argue this guys are putting in the work. Looks sick.

ugh, that's so rough! bernard's POV from yesterday was so rad with her following him (until she wrecked her ankle). was on a zoom call early this morning with all the female riders out there (minus jess). tahnee and crew pushing each other and getting some good practice working through the features earlier this week. the comradery of the women who stepped up to experiment with the course was exciting to see. will have more on that soon. here's a red bull raw from practice and they've said that hardline quali on saturday is canceled due to weather. race is...

working on a g-out project from national champs (full gallery up later), but these two photos caught my eye w/ the chain slacked out between the idler and the front chainring. is that common? i don't feel like i've noticed that before. it's such a short gap to see significant slack like that. i guess i shouldn't be surprised considering the abuse DH bikes get put through.
