Mondraker follow that logic by going longer in reach but not super slack like Pole or Nicolai/Geometron. The problem I see is that steep head angles don't corner as well with the front end prone to folding. Under 66º seems fine but above that especially with 150mm forks and you are just asking for trouble. I think XC bikes need to go slacker too.

Can't deny... A cockpit with fewer cables would be pretty sick

internal cable routing in bike frames = extinct by 2022? this all looks really promising. curious about russian hackers getting into nino's drivetrain at the next olympics though : )

I want that vent valve technology on the standard Reverb. Too bad i just ordered a new 170 mm version :/

I’d consider a reverb, but umm how much money are we leaving hanging in the most susceptible area to rock strikes? Are the battery and electronics interchangeable into a new derailleur body or is it a complete write off once it’s been smoked?

does the mounting hardware lock? a couple twists with a wrench and those things could be yanked.

The death of internal cable routing ports?

He is not saying the test has no info. If I look at it the test states that the bikes score relatively similar on time and points. But that doesn’t mean there is no difference in how they ride. It comes down to what you like riding/your style is. The Norco is no jumper. And the Demo isn’t all about full speed ahead. Both good bikes but different.

So basically hardly anything in it and all down to what bike suits your riding the best. Let's have some short travel trail bikes up... Transition scout, SC 5010 etc.

Yeah man, the universe isn't even real bro. Did you know we're all just made of stars? Far out! Nothing matters dude! Look, the rules and limits are clear. If you're not clear on that, that's on you. These athletes voluntarily participate in a sport governed with rules and a part of that is PED testing. It's nice that they weren't caught with CERA or popped for anabolics, but in this case the testing actually (really!) is binary: They both failed a drug test. You can call it a grey area, but then when they're sanctioned will they "sort of"...

It's real doping, with real benefits. This isn't a recreational drug we're talking about. Further, they took it because they believed it would enhance their performance. This is embarrassing. Don't try to equivocate or rationalize it.

Probably should be doing a yearly check on ingredients vs WADA list if you are a pro athlete.

You're thinking that most of his flats are caused whilst bottoming out the rear suspension (or when the suspension effectively loses its ability to provide support). I wonder whether grabbing an inopportune handful of brake, which de-sensifies the suspension could play a factor too.

More travel really doesn't reduce the load into the ground. Biggest issue with tires is they generally take the load before the suspension starts working. If you ride a bike straight into a curb, sure you are less likely to go otb with more travel, but your tire is still going to take a huge square edged force before your fork compresses.
