so are teams divvying up the 100k if they win, or it goes to the rider or what? To base a whole team around a belt drive for 100k seems nuts to me, you have to drop a drivetrain sponsor, use something that is somewhat unknown and then to top it off, win a race with it. I'm presuming the teams wont be sponsored by pinion. So factor in buying 5-10 gearboxes etc. With a 10-52 cassette and thin shitty chains, yeah I get it. But the sprung weight of a DH 7 gear cassette and proper chain is not...

Dan wouldn’t even be able to qualify for a final. Being a fast rider at your own bike park you ride everyday is completely different from racing world cups.

Danny was doing a meet and greet thing at the bikepark I worked when he was at Saracen......which they spectacularly failed to advertise. So I basically spent all day being his personal chaffeur/hang out. He has possibly the driest wit of anyone I've ever met, super down to earth and does not tolerate bs. Top lad.

I love how Danny pokes fun at himself when talking about being a bit of a Diva when they were on Giant together lol. He always seems to have these funny little quips and a good personality for a guy who is a multi-time world champ. Who wouldn't want to sign Danny? Can't wait to see how him and Greg get along now that greg is retired, I feel like it will either go really good or horribly wrong...

I was wondering earlier today when I saw the FMD thing made official if we're on the brink of seeing more corporate teams. Like why would a brand want to run a team when you could just contract local rich guy who likes bikes (yes, more popular in western Canada than many other places). I'm pretty sure GM owns that Norco team and MS has been running this way forever. If I was a brand why would I want to hire a team of bike industry people to try and run a team when I could go find a rich...

In the comments Neko says an opportunity came up with another brand. Sounds like Frameworks is breaking up with Hayes, not the other way around. Also great that it appears Frameworks is bringing in the suitors and getting paid.
