That scenario was probably in his head and fair play for him waiting to see what happened. Jack was going for the win no matter what and the top times when he dropped were super tight. When Loic was set to drop 2-7 were within a second. He probably looked at that figured he couldn’t win and couldn’t get the 2 or 3 he needed so pulled the pin.

This is the hot take! Came scrolling after the race excited to see this, but appears it went under most people’s radar?! Whoop der it is!

There were a couple of clues in the live feed. As Kolb was climbing onto the stage whilst passing the race winning V10, Neko says " Is that his bike or Jacksons?", to which Rik replies "Careful!". In the interview Andi was asked why he was so happy to see Jackson beat Bruni. He gave a very diplomatic answer, which prompted Rik to say something like "He handled that question just as well as he handled his bike today". So I think Kolb to Syndicate is the done deal.

Someone here said there would be 3 Redbull helmets on a team. Jess Blewitt to Syndicate would fit both clues if she's the one off Cube.

They are just trolling both Yeti jr riders are future teammates for next year. Nothing said they couldn't have been current teammates sharing the podium too🤣🤣

Also Neko has been smart to get non bike industry sponsors who have significantly bigger pockets, like loc-tite and WD40. Yes they don't have a team truck like Trek or Canyon, but that doesn't mean they're not able to pay well.

Iirc asa signed/extended a 3 year deal with Frameworks just earlier this year. I think that means 2028?

Another thing that may help give Loic the benefit of the doubt for skipping the ceremonies is if he wanted to seek medical treatment asap so he could make it back in time to see his baby born. perhaps he had his flight already booked and may needed to have made a choice b/w showing up at the podium vs. getting taken care of so he could bounce asap.

Bruni could’ve taken the overall if Goldstone got less than 72 points, right? That’s 9th? Solid strategy pushing JG to go for it.

FWIW: Comparing the 2025 World Cup* seasons of Bruni and Goldstone, through the first 9 races. [*World Championships not included. Goldstone won that race and Bruni wrecked, finishing 49th. This race is excluded because it didn't affect the WC overall standings. If included, it would have changed the avg. finish to Bruni: 9.3 Goldstone: 7.2.]

From the boys at OTB podcast - Vali might turn up at North American races on a Commencal. Sounds like she may have already signed to Commencal Les Orres. Makes a ton of sense given Cecile & SRAM connections as well.
