Given Muc-off's history of intentionally flawed testing (which is the reason all their other lubes are so horrible) I don't see why we should trust them now. I'll wait to see testing results from zero friction cycling, but I doubt this is better than silca and the other good wax options.

I'm totally sold on chain wax for off-road riding in dry conditions, but hard to imagine this is worth it when all the other Muc-off lube products are so terrible.

I think the balance you have is great. The averages and 95th looks great. Personally I only give my max speed a glance but I hardly tune for it. The reason being is that if everything else looks good, you are tuning your whole run for one max speed that could be on a drop or big hit. So in reality you’d be stiffening your bike the entire run just for 1 split second. but to answer your question, my max speeds hit 5000-7000 depending on the track. I also was able to jump on the bike today before the rain comes back tomorrow. Work continues on the analysis pipeline for my data logging project. While I have ambitions beyond these kind of basic descriptive statistics, it seemed worthwhile to replicate some of the charts and metrics that seem to be widely used in analysis of suspension data. I have been seeing the request for leverage curves for offset-mounted linear sensors come up quite a bit more in the last 12 months. If you don't want to calculate this manually I finally got around to actually surfacing this functionality in the UI. They were principally developed for my bike - a 2022 Stumpjumper Evo with a Vorsprung Telum shock and Fox 38s - and the particular linear pots I am using (12.7mm / 1/2" dia), but may be adaptable for others. Hey folks, thought I'd share my DIY data acquisition project. It's been about 6 months in the making (so far) and is up and running. My intention, once it's cleaned up and a few more of the wrinkles are worked out, is to open-source this. AI isn't amazing at providing insights or recommendations for "novel" things. It's great at historical pattern recognition and replaying patterns into the future. The problem with trying to train an AI model with the tooling we have now is kind of twofold. First, wholistic system data. To recognize patterns that would be meaningful, the model would have to know more than what the position sensors can provide. Here are some of the earliest known data acquisition photos I have seen in mountain biking. These are posted by @vintage mountain bike podcast. An interview they said that Greg Minar was riding this Honda. Very heavy and dangerous to with data on because the covers it would get caught in cross winds. We have come a long way!

Update from the Thinker Garage ;-) The new sensor and calibration are finally implemented. While calibrating the system, I now create a map between rear sensor data (the link arm sensor) and the rear wheel vertical travel (the fishing rod looking sensor). This map is then used while logging to know which sensor value means how much rear wheel travel. Main advantage: No leverage curve needed anymore unless you want to reverse calculate the shock movement. But honestly I haven't seen a use case for that yet in terms of bike setup. Surprised that you don’t see a rotary pot and a link arm being used, far cheaper and more robust. Been using string pots a lot recently as I can’t trust the guys using them to not bash them off. I’d like to back to back them with linear pots to see the response difference.

First prototype of the new rear sensor is on the bike! :-) The sensorarm is waaay too long but I did that on purpose to test different positons for the ballhead.
