Like the comment that started the entire conversation here, "Fezzari just changed their name to Ari bikes. A bunch of stuff coming on their website at noon MST apparently as well." "Their name", "their website", "apparently" Just say you work for the company and don't pretend it's a rumor or innovation.

From my experience with calipers, bolted vs mono block isn’t all that important as long as the bolted interface is done properly. That entails getting the fasteners as close to the rotor as possible and maximizing contact area between the two halves. Most the deflection should be between the joint/bridge and the bottom edge of the caliper regardless of how it’s constructed. In my mind for bikes, most the benefit of a mono block lies in packaging. Not having to worry about big bolts frees up space. The bridge across the center of magura calipers would be hard to fit...

I don’t have my computer on my so I can’t dig up the numbers you’re talking about right away. I’ll gladly share them when I get a chance though. The reason they aren’t listed is because the change is imperceptible. Anti squat and anti rise largely dependent on axle path/IC and it’s hard to really change that without changing more suspension members or moving frame pivot points. There is a bit of a tendency for people to hyper focus on numbers in a way I don’t believe is healthy. For example some links might make the axle path 1-2mm more...

It is sad, but the reality is bike purchases are heavily driven by aesthetics. In some ways you want to respect companies that cling to their image but is it really worth doing so at the expense of failing? Ibis adapted by getting rid of the swoopy top tube. But Intense is another example of a company that refuses to get rid of questionable branding and may go the way of the dodo if they don't adapt. Need to take ques from the brands gaining marketshare... i.e. WAO & Forbidden, clean lines & minimal branding. Bikes need to look sexy...

You have yet to prove that you are capable of having an educated discussion about leverage ratios, progressivity, shock tunes and force gradients. The reason that is obvious, is that you are having the wrong discussion. The discussion you should having and should be working to educate yourself on is; What is the correct progression for me? Where do I want that progression to be occurring? What sort of shock or shock tune should be paired with said progression? What are current trends in the frame kinematic and design that are driving people to try cascade links? Why are bikes...

You seem to be passive aggressively attacking them, no wonder they are defensive. Man up and plainly state your issue or STFU.

This is not a tech rumor so I’m not going to talk about this again. What I will say is we haven’t seen a single case of frame damage due to regular use. Frames are pretty overbuilt. Your wheels are more likely to blow up first. Ask me how I know. Off the top of my head, I can only remember two instances where serious frame damage occurred. One was improper installation and one was incompatible shock. We actually paid for the crash replacement frame for the incompatible shock case because there was a typo on our website that was...

Ouch. How's that go for a local bike shop with a floor full of Konas? I don't imagine they can match 50% off. Just checked my local shop, they have 47 Konas in stock, most 20-25% off already. 8 Process in stock, only the 24 is full price (and a few hundred more than the Ripcord it's hanging next to).

That's what I noticed. I get 400' of elevation on the 0.5 mile ride from the market to my house. 400' over 11+ miles, you would probably be fine with a DH cassette.

I think it's been proposed before that they show his splits live? 3 greens in the top left, green on the bars. What are the rules for the pit "communicating" with the bike/rider?

Can we come back to reality a bit? It's true that mountain bike sales and outdoor sales in general are down right now, but mountain biking and outdoor activity in general are as popular as they've ever been, other than a totally insane, unsustainable, and impossible to replicate 24-month window during Covid where no one had jobs. Go to any trailhead and you will find that bikes, hiking, backpacking, you name it, is more popular than ever and demand for our trails is super duper high. This is not the end of the world for the outdoor industry, it's just...
