4/9/2025 10:34pm Report back when you've run them for a while, super interested to know your feelings. As a spoiler I've tested Maxxis vs Schwalbe radial, and Maxxis DH vs DD. Very intriguing results, just need to get the video made...

4/8/2025 2:12am Great test! Did a quick search for Vigilante 2.6 in tough/high grip when I read this test and found for less than 1/3 of the price of my normal tires so I figured I would give them a shot for my DH bike. The local bike park opened this weekend and i love the tires! Not the fastest rolling but...

4/1/2025 11:38pm Technically I don't get paid by SRAM either. They support the Canyon factory team that I am a part of, who pays me. That isn't to say they don't support me, but I don't have a contract with them. Factory teams are generally bolstered by sponsorship deals to increase the budget they have. YT went the route of 'uncaged' which meant they were fitting the whole bill and allowing their riders to run whatever they wanted, not taking any sponsorship money so the riders weren't forced into anything. Or so I understand it. So Jack would still get paid as...

4/1/2025 11:31pm If I can add my 2 cents here. I don't think Sram paid Jack, or the team, anything. That whole YT deal is that they run whatever they want because they don't take money from any sponsors. Now I think that was changing because the industry is struggling and they probably saw how much money they were losing out on. My best guess is YT asked Sram to pay to support the team and they said no, so YT doubled down on the TRP/Fox association they had already been building. Vali would be the only one I could see saying...

3/11/2025 3:31am I guess it does get a bit warm but it is not huge, and all things that cover you get warm in hot climates, chest sweat is nicer than back sweat i guess
Might seem like a kook thing to do but pretty much everyone uses these on the outside of the shirt, or if sponsored, on the outside...

3/11/2025 3:27am The POC is also on my final shortlist, the back protection looks great (large and very breathable), and I love the minimal style. But the chest part seems very opaque, not very breathable, which might be an issue for me with the hot weather in Catalonia.

3/11/2025 12:31am I live in Sweden which is POC land, but pretty much everyone has the POC system torso. If you go to a enduro race, or a group ride I would estimate they outnumber all others combined by 2:1. I have had mine since they came out like 6 years ago. Except for the straps they are all Visco elastic foam...

2/25/2025 2:27am Get some ochain (or similar) for reduced chainring wear. A lot of the wear is just from the chain tugging on the chainring when suspension compresses.

2/14/2025 4:47am While I'm here. Is it rude to spread my own rumors? Yesterday I released v2 Digit frames. I don't have a marketing plan so for now I've just posted a list of improvements here: digitbikes.com/blog/changeblog. I'm also going to start selling a frame-only option, and an aluminum wheel build.
