I have a Topeak smartgauge D2 which shows the same pressure as the ǵauge on the floor pump. How accurate they are I don't know, i'm satisfied that it's consistent in measuring and that's enough for my needs. I only have mtb's so I never go above 35 psi. The Joeblow mountain is mainly plastic but it holds up well.

Just watched Ben Cathros round up of the race and he twice mentions MAIDEN wins, not DEBUT wins as Rick keeps saying on the commentary but apart from that error I have to really take my hat off to him and Beaumont for their commentary yesterday.. they real did increase their hype for the last 10 and helped build some excitement. Beaumont has really steadied the ship in my opinion. And Rick deserves a lot of credit for not letting the criticism destroy his confidence

A properly supported Angel on a winning bike is someone who has been able cross the line in the green in the past. Angels had some rough luck over the years with weird team dynamics, teams folding, and injury. I'd love to see 2-3 seasons of that guy healthy and supported.

They tired to slow a very fast track down this year by making lines tighter and adding in some extra turns/chicanes. I believe this is what lead to far more DQ's, nothing to do with tape/poles. The guys know where their going, they are just trying to do it as fast as possible. With how fast the track was and some of those intentional new turns, it made it very easy to get off line with little room for correction.
