Very cool. Would be interested to ride one. Bamboo is extremely strong - the fact that it’s still used for scaffolding while building billion dollar skyscrapers in Hong Kong is a testament to the material’s resilience.

How’s the CC DB holding up on the rail? Any issues from the yoke putting too much stress on the shock? Selling the original CC DB if you’re interested.

Absolutely a 36 is sufficient for this bike. Quit succumbing to the marketing. 36's have been great and still are unless maybe you weigh 300#.

Both the Rail and Rascal are quite progressive actually and the ELEVENSIX is an option direct from Revel. Additionally, the ELEVENSIX has both a progressive spring system as well as Hydraulic Bottom Out control to handle the really big impacts.

Nice. How much do you weigh? I like the idea of running a coil on my Rail but wondering if my weight combined with the more linear curve would blow through the travel too easily.

The build was just finalized and I’ve not had any trail time yet. My starting point with the spring, based on a few online resources, was the 500 - 610 weight. With just half a turn of preload, I was only at 25% sag while I wanted to be at 30-33% with one full turn. I swapped in the 450 - 550 spring and that seems to be better for sag. The spring easily compresses to the sag point and then the system feels very supportive. I’d say the claim they make regarding the Progressive spring being similar to air...
