Do you have another wheelset you swap out for trail riding? Don’t quite understand the dropper + dh drivetrain combo. If you’re running a dh drivetrain, you’re not doing any climbing. Might as well ditch the dropper and shave a pound off the bike

Ideally you'd take pictures of the two from the same spot from the same length and overlap those. The front bike will be longer even if you compare two bikes of the same model and size in this manner due to the distance from the camera.

I’ve got the same bike. Did you ride the stock deluxe shock before swapping for the X2? Wondering how much of a difference people are feeling.

Pretty sure it is the old Yeti suspension system that was featured on their bikes around 5-7 years ago before they introduced they infinity system with the sliding piston things, SB66, SB95, etc. If I remember correctly, the designer licensed it to Alchemy or something like that.

4/15/2020 10:55am Agree with the other comments that you should get a steel frame. Unless you’re in super good shape, the aluminum bikes will beat you up more. Speaking from personal experience. Also, unless you’re going to be doing a lot of dirt jumping, 29” wheels will make the ride smoother. Less body effort to get the bike through rough sections.

Sweet edit, but when are the redbull style canned guitar rock soundtracks going to die? They are ruining at least 50% of online bike videos these days. There is so much good music out there, please someone make these crap soundtracks go away!

Ended up pulling the trigger and got myself the same bike. I’m also on an XL and may get curious about running a coil shock as well - do you mind sharing your weight and resulting estimated sag with the 525lb spring?
