6/27/2024 9:32am Hi All! Mind bugging question. As radial master cylinder is quite often all the rage among motorcycle riders, I got an idea of what could be the result of pairing the old style Shimano hydraulic brake lever with the modern 4 pot calipers. Brake lever (I am not sure, but the XTR might be without the servo-wave linkage) BL-M975 (XTR) BL-M775 (XT) BL-M665 (SLX) BL-M595 (Deore) Caliper BR-M8020 (XT - 4 pot) BR-M820 (Saint - 4 pot) BR-M7120 (SLX - 4 pot) Would it result the ultimate combo in power, reliability, lever feel, consistency? What are your opinions on this...

5/28/2024 8:27am love this question! i'd make an IROC for downhill (at least what i remember IROC (international race of champions) from the 80's being...maybe it still exists?). X number of venues with X number of pre-selected racers run the same bike, suspension and tire manufacturer. each venue bike, suspension and tires change. brakes, cockpit and drivetrain can be whatever they want the series has no UCI affiliation. example - val di sole, everyone is on specialized, ohlins and maxxis - les gets, commencal, fox and schwalbe - MSA trek, rockshox and continental - last race of the season is riders choosing...

5/28/2024 8:27am I think about this any time one of the lottery's go into the three coma zone. What would I do for MTB if I won over a billion (USD) and why? Let's assume that's over a billion after taxes. Here's my list: 1. I'd go through the process to get several, World Cup track built here in Oregon/Washington and make sure these stay fresh and become regular stops. It'd be great to get the WC out from under their European safety blanket. 2. I'd fund World Cup teams. I'd at least build a development team and support more women WC...

5/16/2024 9:49am PSHHHHH, yeah ok Bentonville. Just because you guys have the Walmart family bankrolling your trail system doesn't make you guys the capital. It just makes you on the same level as patent and trademark trolls gobbling up that naming. TEAMROBOT time to bring back the list. For real thought the fact that the Walmart family is throwing a crap ton of money at improving local trails for an area of the country that isn't know for being physically active is good. But on the other hand maybe they should pay their workers a fucking living wage and not have their...

5/16/2024 9:46am Our sport is in such a great/weird spot right now. Huge influx of new riders is great. More money coming in is great. More trails are being built, awesome. But at the same these new trail systems are the most BORING thing ever to ride. And people think these trails are the pinnacle of MTB.

5/15/2024 8:27am Holy Geometry Charts Batman! Frame looks really well thought out, I'm hoping they come out with something similar but with 140mm rear and 140/150 front. My days of needing 170/160mm travel are behind me.

3/22/2024 8:57am Thanks Guys! My EMRG Cura Lover brake levers showed up a couple weeks ago. Night and day improvements across the board for the Curas. Much more power and a much lighter lever feel. Since I brake with my middle fingers the longer lever works better for me as well.

2/15/2024 9:06am I used to own a 2005 Giant DH Team. That bike had the WORST brake jack I've ever experienced. But I didn't care. That bike was fast and so beautiful. But when you hit that rear brake, it was like and ejection seat at the pedals.

(But that doesn't mean just going to Bellingham or that one spot in Oregon.)" Seriously, Oregon has so many rad spots and zones to build wild stuff. It's not just Bend or Pacific City lol. I guess that's on us locals though for not making the content.

12/28/2023 8:57am Bike of the year in 2023 is sort of like the Time Magazine cover that was a mirror. The real winner in 2023 was the consumer, with prices falling across the entire range of mountain bikes and performance (actually) plateauing the last few years. While this may be bad for companies, its incredibly good for the consumer who was often able to purchase at dang near shop-employee pricing from a myriad of companies. There really aren't many "bad" bikes out there these days, but there are better bikes than others depending on what you are trying to do, and there...
