Loic doesn't care about his wheel size because he doesn't need to. That Ohlins kit looks like it's working on a different level than the Fox stuff. His bike is noticeably more calm and stable, but still super responsive when he needs it. I guess I see that as a bigger advantage...more

I still can't get over how the underlying assumption that big wheels are always faster is the case. I still stand by the idea that it depends on the track, the rider, the conditions, other attributes of the bike etc.

Worth noting, Brycleland had his big season mostly aboard 26" wheels (right?) when nearly every other team was on 27.5" wheels.

The first time I rode a Z1 and my hands weren't numb 10 minutes into the ride and it felt like my hardtail had full suspension, I fell in love with that coil bath beast.
