One of the reviews that came out yesterday (I can't remember which) talked to the product manager and asked about the Vivid and his answer was basically they wanted to differentiate the lower spec builds from the higher spec builds which have a coil and the Vivid would blur those lines too much.

Hey all, I can finally take off my very sneaky blue tape camouflage to reveal that yes, I’m reviewing the new Nomad. Because I’ve spent so many years on the old Megatower, I’m framing this as a Megatower vs. Nomad comparison. Especially interesting for me because of the rumors that the Megatower is going away and the new Nomad does not take 29” rear wheels. Personally I don’t think it’s cool when brands post their own stuff here if it’s not being discussed directly. The Cascade guy is great because he weighs in on the conversation but just dropping your stuff here when nobody is talking about it comes across as a bit of a lazy marketing strategy. Post it on instagram and if people think it’s interesting it’ll get picked up. That being said it’s an awesome looking prototype!

We are Oso close to getting a full 29 HD6/HD7...

Avinox is over-hyped. This new Oso is just about ideal as a non-ebike owner. It seems to be very thoughtfully designed. My only hangup is the price ($2k more than the old one). I still hope they do an SL version. Also, I think the modular dropouts bode well for the next HD6. I heard a rumor that will be dual 29. Or will it be the HD7? 6... 7? hmm.

This is cool, the part that pushes on the tire looks very similar to a machine that puts on car tires. Honestly sick idea.

I tried out a proto version of these pedals for a few months and they were great. Grip levels similar (a smidge less) to a deity supervilan, but with a bit easier to re-position your foot. Regarding the nomad 7, I'm a bit surprised that the front shock mount doesn't push further into the front triangle like the ht5/b5 do. I am/was really hoping that the n7 would have a wheel size flip chip. I don't have a ton of reason to run my nomad 6 with a 29 rear wheel, but I can see the logic of discontinuing the...
