2/2/2025 3:45am Natural righty that had to learn lefty for a while after shattering a knee. Took some time to realize the stance change pulled my hips back. Felt weak and way off the back riding switch until I figured that bit out. Briefly skated mongo. Literal woodpusher. I was awful.

mtbman99 Liked a reply to forum topic High vs. Low Tire Pressures: Which Is Faster?
2/1/2025 3:31pm I’m in the plus 200lb club and run 20psi front (exo+) and 25psi rear (DH) ( mainly to limit rim strikes and flats) I think terrain and riding style play a big part in tire pressure. I like to ride more natural terrain with flatter corners. If I was riding park with more high speed bermed corners I would need to go up in pressure. As for low pressures and drag I seem to remember paper describing it like a large ship and the larger surface actually reduces drag but of course that probably doesn’t take into account casing deformation...

2/1/2025 2:23pm Agreed, but you know what they say about opinions... Last few rides I have had a go at right foot foward on a few turns. I feel like I could learn both ways as I'm ambidextrous with a few other things. Not sure if there is any advantage in that. Might not be worth the spectacular crashes that might ensure...

2/1/2025 2:08pm This is a bit like asking what is the correct stance in snowboarding, goofy or regular? There is no "correct", it's whatever works best for you.

2/1/2025 1:30am I see your gearbox/belt/chain talk and raise you an enclosed primary chain with secondary "standard" drivetrain! This is cool: https://www.zoceli.cz/en/vysoko

1/31/2025 7:26pm Believe it or not, I have one on my bike, and a chain on a few other bikes. Bending with and without load is not the same thing, and the energy used by bending a belt is fairly constant, while chains friction increases with power. There's a dedicated thread to all this now, just saying like someone else mentioned, there's a lot of confirmation bias and a huge echo chamber talking about drag, but I literally just have 2 bikes next to me, one with a belt, and one with a chain I didn't lube after riding yesterday. There's no difference worth...

1/29/2025 2:18pm Good catch. I was a little confused with this so I digged around and found that Emmy Lan is also on the Dunbar team. Those who noted Connor didn't officially say goodbye goodbye could be correct. Maybe forbidden is getting some help with their gravity team this year and no longer are a "factory" team and have Dunbar/ Corsa cycles joining the program for support... Interesting as at this time I don't think Dunbar or Corsa sells forbidden bikes. Both Emmy Lan and Rhys Verner reside in Squamish where Corsa cycles is located...
