Didn't Dak confirm at the beginning of last season that the team would be on the full SRAM/RockShox suite of parts for 2026? I thought that was semi-openly acknowledged long ago. Regardless, 69 runs in 3 days... Hope Dunne doesn't injure himself or burn out with that kind of pre-season intensity. Looking forward to seeing what kind of pace he brings to the World Cups.

Your suspension is doing work on the mass of you and the unsprung mass. Viewing it as doing work to slow down the upward motion of the wheel cuts out the majority of the picture. From a suspension performance standpoint, the argument for lower unsprung mass is the wheel can get returned to the ground quicker after it goes over an obstacle that causes it to lose contact. That is a direct correlation to increased traction. I think rebound is one of the most overlooked things across many industries, but what I was referring to initially was just the compression...

Omg, you can see my brake hoses, how embarrassing.... I'm guessing this is more for the road side of things, but imagine going through a super tech steep or flying down a hill towards an intersection and both your brakes unpair, then this progressive brake systems that you cannot control kicks in at the wrong time. Now not only can you not slow down under your own volition, but now you can't necessarily roll it out either. You are now unintentionally stopping and have no control over the speed you're slowing down even. Given how often I deal with Axs...

This is the way. Rename the v2 Tech Rumors thread to 2026 Tech Rumors, pin it, close it on Dec 31, 2026. Rinse and repeat. Kinda similar on the MTBR NorCal forum that I also inhabit, there is a monthly thread dedicated to ride reports (and all their tangents and side conversations). Works really well and is easy to navigate/manage.
