Respectfully, it's been around since the beginning of MC outlaw and backyard chopper culture. Independent Trucks in skateboarding too since forever. West Coast Choppers is unoriginal and lame.

It’s a play on the west coast choppers logo. Which was everywhere here in America when Neko was a young lad.

I can't tell if you're trolling or not, but this seems like a good reason to remind everyone why we love Brage and want good things for him:

If you ever rode bikes, that were in mountains, or woods, and jumped a lot, or made curvey turns and felt good riding said bikes in said mountains or woods, until dark, at any point in your life: brage. Get that trek deal and get that money and get those bontrager wheels popping and JUST KEEP SMASHING. Yeah. We like brage. And Sam Hill. GTFO.

Hi, long time WC media guy here (14 years long).. I'm also very curious to hear some names and facts about this from you But in the meantime let me share some of my own. Each team is allowed to register photographers and videographers (each team then receives a set number of photo and video bibs for the season). if someone doesnt work for a team they can register as independent media once they have letters of assignment from a verified media outlet. there are little to no restrictions as to what can be shot/posted. This hasnt changed since the...

Don’t forget the critically important and informative TR for “tubeless ready”. To very helpfully differentiate it from all the non-tubeless ready mountain bike tires that currently are flooding the market

Maxxis Digestor Maxxis Denominator Maxxis Minotaur Maxxis Mennonite Maxxis Legal Retainer Maxxis Domesticator And my personal vote: the Maxxis HRDHRMX3 Classic I also hope the sidewall tech on the new batch of Maxxis tires in 2026 brings with them an exciting new three letter acronym too, like SDC (Super Defense Casing), so I can run the Maxxis HRDHRMX3 Classic SDC 29x2.5 3C MaxxGrip as a front tire and save the Maxxis DHR2 DH 29x2.4 3C MaxxTerra as a rear tire. But that's just me.

This post was inspired by Trek’s questionably titled “ age is just a number” post from yesterday, which seems to have been written with heavy assistance from an LLM. “Some stories in mountain biking aren’t about podiums or KOMs — they’re about dirt, sweat, and the people who’ve been shaping our rides for decades” “But they didn’t just scratch a few fun lines into the dirt—they helped breathe life into an entire valley.” “And they weren’t just moving bikes—they were moving the culture forward.” “Their work didn’t just put Molini on the map—it lit a spark that helped ignite one...

why do you think everyone should have the same length rear center but a size specific front center and do you believe every size rides exactly the same?

As a designer by trade there is a lot I don't like about this. I do think the typeface works, and honestly, they should have just used the Ö for the icon. The Venn Diagram inspired mark is where all my issues lie; the shape is too similar to the chiseled "O" but also different enough to where it looks out of place and provided no cohesive tie to the typeface. Plus, the visual balance is off, the diamond inside the icon should anchor to the cap height and baseline of the "Ohlins". Simplest solution is usually the best one...

The assertion that e-bikes decrease fitness is widespread. On the surface, the reasoning appears sound: riders often feel like they have expended more energy after a normal ride compared to an e-bike ride. Therefore, normal bikes must provide superior fitness benefits, right? Not quite. This surface-level analysis misses several crucial insights about how fitness actually works. Let's start with a simple fact: work done is work done, regardless of the bicycle beneath you. If you maintain the same effort level on an e-bike as you would on a traditional bike, you'll simply travel farther in the same time. In this...
