Stone cold true is: The undercurrent of Rampage judging is really about who is gonna make the best ESPN highlight reel -or go viral on Instagram/YouTube/ Facebook. No matter what they claim- It is not about who has the most creative line, technical skill , or is fastest....... it is about what is the biggest potential marketing showpiece. And that comes from landing Big Drops and Crazy Dangerous Tricks. Always has been - always will be. 8/24/2018 11:17am Something I keep forgetting to say....how crazy good is Martin Whitely as a scout? Angel looked the the one he missed, but nope. In the hunt, young, stylish....and poised to be another one to watch for years to come. Also Gee is a beast.

8/24/2018 11:16am Man...that berm loaded full of photogs is ugly & yet tells you the sports come a bit, even though no one can seem to get a car company to sponsor anyone any more. Am I the only one amazed at how few legit outside sponsors there are? At all.

Maybe. Lets look at this (Whistler EWS) Sam does count and 100% could pick the Mega 290. He picks the 275. Martin has a 130mm 29er to pick if he'd like. Word is its easy to long stroke to 140mm (same travel as a lot of other 29ers) Eddie was on a 29er Nocolai was on the Torque (27.5) Yoann 29" Remi no idea Graves Stumpy (29") Robin was on the Ibis (29") Dimitri was on the Torque (27.5") Richie went BACK to a 27.5" bike for Whislter so that's 40% 29er with at least 2 riders deciding to go...

that was insane! i am all for someone building up a pure huck "mountain bike" for a 100-foot drop. like bender's apocalypse but one that actually works.

Time to get some Graphene or carbon nanotubes in tire construction. Prices are already ridiculous in mountain bike, so a $500 tire will be reasonable right?

In my opinion he also needs more travel. The bikes he has used have been a 140 and 150mm travel in back. For how fast and how strong he is I am surprised he is not having problems with other Eq. Would he be flatting with a 160-180mm travel? "Nomad" or another longer travel bike. Just a thought that has not been brought up.

anyone have more info on their setups? Rim width, tire size, casing? Isn't Hill on a prototype? That Mr. Wolf Smartmousse looks pretty interesting, anyone have more info?
