In the interview Andi was asked why he was so happy to see Jackson beat Bruni. He gave a very diplomatic answer, which prompted Rik to say something like "He handled that question just as well as he handled his bike today". So I think Kolb to Syndicate is the done deal.

Iirc asa signed/extended a 3 year deal with Frameworks just earlier this year. I think that means 2028?

In Ed Masters recap video, he was talking to Sven about taking pictures of him with his new bike. And Masters said, you’ve Scott to be kidding me. Could be Masters just fucking with everybody though.

people have stated before that double-O to trek is a done deal and they even wanted him mid season after the YT turmoil began. but YT was shitty enough to not pay him AND won't release him so that he couldn't switch teams.

I’d love to see Kolb on the syndicate, seems like a great fit and Sven is practically their in house photographer. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Laurie moving on, maybe to Atherton bikes? I hope Mondraker keep things as they are and let that team continue building. From a marketing pov I don’t think they’d sign OO when they already have Ronan, Ireland’s not that big of a market.

Not to mention Jack Moir, whose popularity seems to be almost single-handedly keeping EDR alive and who can still win races. I think silly season might have just got a lot sillier.

I think it’s almost safe to say that the YT mob in its current form is not going to exist next year. Ric hinting at a turbulent team situation multiple times in today’s broadcast. Vali, Andi and Oisin all very popular riders - male riders maybe not constant podium contenders but very popular with social media and fans, which might be just as valuable. Exciting to see where they end up.

Sure sounds like YT is pulling the plug on its race program, for the second time.

Going from Bernard to daprela would be the worst look ever. Bernard’s stuff is a bit questionable but you kind of just got to wait and see and Jenna can make her own choices. But to go from someone with a large age gap relationship with questionable beginnings to a guy with sexual assault allegations would be wildly irresponsible in modern times. I really doubt either Bernard or pivot would benefit from exiting the relationship at this time. I think the people on this forum have far stronger opinions on the subject than 95 percent of mtbers including women. And...

Interesting thoughts. Whatever people choose to think of BK as a person/rider, he seems pretty switched on from a business point of view.

A thought I had teased out in a much longer form that I think is applicable to the Pivot situation (and I think we'll see it more often from other teams): I think Pivot is going to leave elite-level racing and BK Sport will be the team that carries on. I think the BK Sport merch brand has been the long game slow rollout of Bernard knowing Pivot want to exit racing and knowing he'll need to be on a differently-named team. Sort of similar to how FMD (a privately-owned racing team) is now partnered with Orbea. I didn't think...
