5/24/2019 7:45am thanks for chiming in, aaron. it's crazy this whole ordeal turned into such chaos and wasted time. i woke up this morning to a billion texts and emails about all the drama. when the vid was posted yesterday, i didn't know it was a "leaked" video. i also chalked it up to "world cup riders are gnarly. they do gnarly things. they break stuff," and figured that the rest of the mtb community had the same reasonable way of thinking. i knew some people may comment on the crank break, but the newsworthiness of the video was that you hurt...

5/24/2019 7:43am I shoulda been more descriptive and explained things better in that initial comment so that I'm not having to go back and clarify now. I answered a lot of these same accusations in the other responses I made on that same Instagram post but I'll give ya guys the goods too. I was just frustrated honestly. I had just got a message from the guys at Mountain creek who took the video respectfully telling me that they weren't going to send the video around, which was kind of them. One of the guys had sent it to someone else and...

5/24/2019 7:32am Exactly. The professional response to this would have simply been "it's racing, these things happen". Throwing people under the bus and making excuses just looks bad.

5/24/2019 7:32am I’m more upset he threw John Hall under the bus. The man is an absolute perfectionist, and there is no way a 3 year old defective part was used on a brand new build. We all know it was a squeaky clean brand new crank provided by ethirteen. Broken parts are a part of racing, call it that and move on. You can’t control the media Aaron. We are curious fans, and comments like that just further distance you from the people support your career.

5/24/2019 7:29am Thought it was interesting he came down to "internet peasant land" (that's what I call it) to defend the product and ask Vital to pull the post. Part of me understands this. Part of me goes "cmon dude, that is overstepping a line you don't have control over". I understand he wants to be a good business partner for his sponsors. I understand he wants to put his best foot forward. But I'm not so sure I like him trying to pull strings to keep things hidden that really aren't that big of a deal. Reminds me of how he...

4/29/2019 1:41am The real question is do you throw a 29" front wheel on a 27.5" frame or a 27.5" rear wheel on a 29" frame? Both have pros and cons.

4/29/2019 1:39am rad question and poll! visually, i can't stand the look of them, but finn's drift and result at crankworx yesterday was pretty darn rad. i voted yes, we'll see a win at some point. here's maes' 97.5 bike from NZ enduro, too.

4/29/2019 1:39am "Business in front, party in the back!" The UCI reversed its policy of banning mixed wheelsizes late last year for DH and Enduro. Within weeks, several teams experimented pairing a 29" front wheel with a 27.5" rear wheel, notably, Specialized, GT, and Polygon. Neko Mullaly tested a reverse mullet build on his Tues, 2 years after trying it out on his old Gambler "Frankenbike". In recent times, there have been a few intrepid manufacturers who actually designed and released 97.5 gravity bikes, like Foes and Liteville. Reviews were generally positive but no discernible data has been released comparing it to...

4/24/2019 1:40am By the looks of it when you run one shock, it goes in the downtube. You've gotta hand it to Cannondale though, they certainly live outside the box. 2Stage had a DH bike back in the day that ran two shocks but with a completely different concept. They had one shock for small bumps and one for big hits. Foes also comes to mind. The thing I like about the Cannondale is that their goals seem to be about improving the entire suspension package not just modifying a bike to work better with an existing product.

4/1/2019 7:11am Neff's last year. 1st XCO W-Cup overall, 3rd at Worlds, 22nd in Worlds road race, wins a C1 cyclocross against current World Champ, and now apparently winning DH races with a SC fork. Could she be anymore talented?

3/22/2019 12:33am so the 29 / 27.5 combo seems to be legit. Finn just got 2nd at crankworx rotorua by .09 running it. brook won on 27.5 (so rad...brook looks f'ing focused!) and brannigan 3rd on 29 (i think he's on 29...also freaking rad to see him back in the mix). loic front flatted so we don't know how we would have done. oh, finn wins "sickest foot-out turn of 2019 so far" in his race run too! i'm sure replays will surface at some point.
