Same here. I remember 15yrs ago thinking it would be awesome if I could climb my DH bike like a trail bike if I had a little assistance.

This is where I thought e-bikes would go when they first started to gain popularity, a bike with a splash of assistance, not a motor with a frame attached to it

This is basically a 'concept bike' that you can actually buy, which is cool. Props to Orbea for hanging it out through the industry downturn. They just keep making cool sh!t. I'll likely never touch one, hell I may never get hands on a normal Rallon, but I love seeing what they cook up.

Great review. I will be in the market for a 24" bike for my son in a year, and this will be on my list! Would hope my son can use it for two years. The unpainted finish is great because kids bang up their bikes.

Great news! BMX race bikes are so rigid and harsh. Being able to race with a suspension fork will be awesome, especially for old dads!

Could also get a 200mm front rotor, adapter and metallic pads to boost braking power for under $100 (and save the spares for future replacements for the rear). Affordable bikes!

I've read the book "Dialed" by Lee McCormack and have taken what he details there and his website https://www.llbmtb.com/ to compare bike geometry/set ups to find what bikes will fit me the best. At 6'0" (but with dimensions that make me fit bikes more like I'm 5'10",) I have found that the majority of frames lack enough stack. Most bikes will need to have a lot of spacers under the stem and a high rise handlebar to get the grips the right distance and angle from the BB to fit me and my riding preference. Because kids that ride those bikes have no comprehension of nice things, and that’s really cool. I guarantee any kid that gets one would be just as stoked on a kicker bike that costs $100. On top of that most kids just thrash their bikes. It’s for midlife crisis/status symbol dads to buy there toddlers so they can feel good about ignoring them.
