I am sure the Nuke Proof/CRC marketing department would love Sam Hill to ride the 29er. Hopefully he will have the right tool to continue to make time on the competition in the tight tricky corners. It took a long time before Nino Schurter ended up going to 29ers...

Pretty sure some are labeled on the bottom as water, only for athletes at large events. At other events I’ve been to, I’ve seen redbull get dumped out and replaced with water, far from cameras obviously.

i think most legit, fitness-based athletes on a hotset or podium have special red bull / monster cans with water in them. when they take a swig and give the thumbs up, it's not the actual energy drink going down their neck.

4/27/2019 5:34am So I am guessing they can still wear hats, shirts, etc. from their sponsoring energy drink, just not the actual drink. I don't think the athletes will mind...a real athlete shouldn't drink that energy drink crap anyways! Is beer in an opaque cup ok?

If you buy a really nice stem, it's a part that can easily be carried over to your next bike. It's worth a bit of research before buying.

All I can say is thank god Enduro racing has become popular over the years and that I need top fitness to be competitive. If DH was still my primary way to get my gravity racing fix, I would have likely bought an electric assist bike like this for the "built-in shuttle" benefit.

The margin is shared between Specialized and the retailer with zero risk to the retailer. It seems to me like a slightly more efficient way to purchase Specialized products but without the services and personal experience that a shop provides pre-purchase. Curious to see how many more purchases this will lead to vs. going to or simply calling a shop to place the order with the exact same shipping times, but I guess this is where the retail environment is headed and they're obviously doing it for a reason.

I bet bike brands pay the bigger name athletes more to "race" in E-bike races than they pay some of their actual racers. Deep down I'm sure Julien Absalon wanted no part in an E-bike race, but when the check from BMC showed up he was able to put his kids through college.

It’s cool to see a rider really understand what’s going on with his bike. Seems like a real professional should in order to advance the bike as far as possible. There are too many dudes that have no idea (or at least say they don’t).
