Some of these were said before, so I'll be quick. 1- Dropper post. There are lots of experienced riders on here that might take this for granted, but for your friend getting into the sport, significant other, nothing will matter more than eliminating some hesitation going down. 2- Tires. Not just DH casings, but to actually use soft, DH rubber on a trail that really points downhill is a game changer if you are actually sliding or pushing the limits. My personal preference? SWAT tools and the like. Mostly because I hate having anything on my body/back when I ride...

Hard to judge from a follow cam prior to any WC though right? Once 100 WC guys start walking and practising the track, surely more lines would develop? Looks really nice either way, you could almost yourself into thinking it's rideable by us mere mortals...

I'm in the same boat, the issue is that as a junior Loris had some horrendous crashes which set him back from what was originally a progression curve that looked even higher than Bruni.

Also, only one male rider has won a World Cup in his debut year in Elite. That was Gee Atherton at Round 3 in Schladming, back in 2004. Both Greg and Sam won their first WC in their 2nd year of elite. Nicolas Vouilloz won a World Cup as a Junior (the first ever World Cup in 1993), and then won his second race as a 2nd year elite in 1995. Nice! Hill posted a run of this test day on instagram during the week. His speed on the enduro bike has been blowing more than a few minds considering how horribly harsh that track is.

I have the flexair pants pictured above and have been blown away at how light and comfortable they are, better than many shorts i've owned. I'm riding the 30"waist and am 178cm high, no issue with inseam, but the ankle width is unnecessarily tight when putting on and taking off.
