The plastic piece of protection bolted/glued to the bottom of the downtube that goes from the BB up about halfway the DT. It serves to protect your frame from rocks thrown up by the front wheel. It's purpose is exactly the same as a wrap.

Thank you for clarifying exactly which part of your sentence was the insult, and throwing another one in there for good measure. I'm not particularly bothered, just a bit thrown back at how polarized and aggressive people are getting about completely inconsequential things.

Yeah I'm definitely an OCD cry baby for spending an hour every 3-4 years effectively doing preventive maintenance... Do you guys also remove those downtube protectors all bikes come with?

I got double whammy of grief from friends because I have an eMTB and I bought a ridewrap kit for my levo SL, it looks amazing (matte finish) and is protecting my frame from the wicked sharp brush we have in so cal. I am glad I purchased.

I didn't realise some people did not wrap their frames, I would even wrap my second hand entry level aluminium frames, there is literally nothing to lose apart from 30 minutes to an hour of time and around 50 bucks for a big roll of helicopter tape.

we totally got the point, BUT some dude from Switzerland wrote "the team manager of ms has personaly wanted danny back. He needs someone to put pressure on laury to finaly start winning more frequently" and we simply want to state that this is not the case. It's one thing to do some random guessing and share speculations, but another thing to make a bad joke on the back of riders.
