Mass dampers are legit, but they need to be finely tuned (weight, spring, damper) for specific oscillations and frequencies. I have my doubts whether any of that is going on in the pits. Normal mountain biking, the terrain is so varied you could never find something to work everywhere. Race track maybe? But when you see the BS mounting methods...

I know someone else has mentioned this before but some teams mounting of mass dampers is laughable. If it’s not a good positive connection it’s going to create even more vibration. Zip tied to the frame. Giant running it on the back of a plastic number boards. Flavor of the month.

Their pre wave alloy? i've owned a set of those 'big bearing' pedals for years and i've probably put my foot on it once. Regardless the answer to flat pedals is always the same.... go and buy clip pedals.

I was a regular at snowshoe for the wc. Couldn’t beat being able to combine a riding vacation and viewing without ever getting back in the car. We could backcountry riding during the event, and stay for a day or 2 after to ride the park. Lake placid doesn’t seem to have that same factor for fans. I would love...
