Bikes and riders are shaking as they roll up to Val di Sole, Italy for the 4th downhill round of the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Series. Racers know that they face a steep and unrelentingly hard-hitting track, and mechanics know that bikes and parts will be pushed to their physical limits.
Share in the action from Italy with videos, social media posts and results here. If you see something sweet, post it up! We'll have Pit Bits, Vital RAW and The Weekend from Lawlor this week.

Qualies in the wet? At VDS?
Well hopefully it moderates the pace and we see less helivacs...

Thanks for posting the schedule. I always have trouble finding that. Should be another banger.
To my chosen riders I wish you a speedy recovery
wyntv val di sole (wyn is on the start list!)
Great pit bits. I agree with the canyon mechanic though, a narrower bar will read as shorter then someone with long arms. Either way thank you John!
I'm sure its being talked about in the team rumors thread... but what DH bike is Wyn riding?
Neko's swag shorts 😂

So Wyn's gonna race... On a GT with a sticker over the logo? Orrr
Are they gonna dual crown a Focus enduro or something
Focus is Pon, so maybe a rebadged gt? Or maybe a Santa Cruz?
Can the Jam take a dual crown? He also mentioned the Champrey would be his last world cup if he can qualify for it. I hope he has something lined up that keeps him around racing. I'm sure he realises it but he's such an integral part to the sport.
With Cathro leaving the PB race thingy... Wyn becomes an elephant in the room in that department. Not sure if him and SleeperCo have established report but I can't imagine it not working.
Loic with quite a bit of insight
Saturday race... With Sunday XC?
Does that mean no Q2 production again or do we think thats only on a triple race weekend or what?
I don't want to be that guy, but....
Champery is world champs.
Ben Deakin is sponsored by Focus and races DH on a rebadged V10. Pretty sure Wyn's still on a Fury for now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go the same way.
jackson and ronan POV from VDS.
The only race winner I ever really called for real was Greenland here in 2019. I am rooting for him always and again.
And I don’t want Wyn on track, I want WynTV lol
Best wishes to Sammie g. Not a pretty sight.

Welp... I suppose this is already starting to give answers to the 'can we slow down tracks to make racers not try to kill themselves' question. I think the 'DH is always dangerous and racers will always try to go too fast' side of that argument is gaining some ground here.
That said, I still like VDS and the taping of the track. Hopefully the injuries we end up seeing are more along the lines of sprained this and fractured that... And not as much helmet-shattering helivacs.
And it's supposed to stay dry now? No more rain to slow things down? Hm.
Dry? Dammit. I put Danny Hart on my PB team hoping it was going to be wet.
vital raw from lawlor (i downvoted anna newkirk out...that sucks!)
If I had to guess 2nd metacarpal compression fracture.
