Haha hey im a process engineer at a large machine shop and the first thought I had was that it’s actually an awesome design. My issues was more critical of the already trivial benefits of vibration damping to then mount it to even stiff plastic mount is still going to be another layer of damping that’s between the bike and the damper.

to be fair a light is gonna cost far less than a camera of quality you want, multiply that difference across the total number required. That's only one stage. Then you have the logistics of running cable (or wifi on the side of a mountain) if you want it live. Production costs. Look I hear you, buts that no where...

I have had an si bike for 5 years now. They are way easier to service than replacing a bearing. When I noticed a little wear they sent me a new one no questions asked.

Can I patent the ole one eye squint? For real tho, equalizing the gap on each side between the sanctions and bars is way easier than aligning the stem with the tire.

Hans Rey is going to be like those Japanese soldiers who didn’t believe World War II was over until the 70s. He’ll still be going to trade shows and doing trials routines wearing a full blue and yellow outfit in 2035.

Also the best implementation of a Neo Shock to date. Build a bike with great descending characteristics and use the shock to sort out the climbing.

Richie was someone I thought lost alot of time with tear offs. It was very noticeable when he had to stop cranking to sit and pull a tear off.

Building mass dampers are designed to counteract the natural frequency of the structure (a known variable). Let my boy Grady explain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1U4SAgy60c The bike ones (at least to my knowledge) are design to counteract vibrations from the trail (an unknown variable). Maybe it could be tuned to the suspension telemetry for specific tracks? Look there is something there. But my...

Mass dampers are legit, but they need to be finely tuned (weight, spring, damper) for specific oscillations and frequencies. I have my doubts whether any of that is going on in the pits. Normal mountain biking, the terrain is so varied you could never find something to work everywhere. Race track maybe? But when you see the BS mounting methods...
