3/21/2025 6:12am I'm honestly not good enough to tell the difference in feel. But I have never had to put a spoke wrench to my Convergence rims. That's good enough for me.

3/11/2025 5:58am Just throwing out an acedotal. I wear the 100% Vest for park and sketchy days. Its very comfy, but I normally wear a superlight merino base layer under it and t shirt over the top. I have took one big slam in it. No major injuries so I guess it did the job.

2/25/2025 10:44am TLDR up front: 0.5% on Eagle = smoked rings and cogs that are now mated for life with that old chain for as long as it lasts. Here's the full scoop: the reason you smoked your chainring prematurely is not * just* because higher-end Eagle chains are so much more durable that other options: it is because SRAM never informed most of us that Eagle chains cannot be measured and replaced with conventional gauges & replacement schedules the way older SRAM or any Shimano chain variant can. Eagle chains begin wear at 0.0% chain growth instead of 0.25% like everything...

2/24/2025 10:23am here's my XX1 ring on my Claymore with 51 months of use and 2nd chain... if i cleaned it you would notice it's not worn. X-sync 2 has some serious engineering, no wonder it's patented. i would only recommend oe chainring and never mix and match your drivetrain. t-type chainring has further machining/steps but i don't have a photo of it. - i used to be on shimano for a long time. no matter what it always pedals like its "bumpy" then cassette starts creaking and eating driver body. loctite 638 worked on rivets but still didn't 'feel' like what...

2/24/2025 10:12am I am starting to think this is my issue too. I got some fancy era cranks and now can't get an x-sync ring. Debating trying the era chainring too. Throw more money at the problem is always the solution right?
dwhere Started a new thread Anecdotal Drivetrain Durability
2/24/2025 6:34am I wanted to hear some drivetrain durability experiences from others. I recently had an odd one (at least to me) and wanted to see if this is common and/or odd experiences others have had. I have slowly been working up the Sram Drivetrain tiers and continually noticed the better wear characteristics. They have essentially been paying for themselves. I have...

2/11/2025 10:02am Shout out big privilege, he's a good dude. Always up at mountain creek, just a normal dude that likes riding bikes (with a rap career). I love that it he brings representation for a minority in our sport.

2/7/2025 4:58am That's where they need to go for wide spread acceptance. If they can reduce the largest cog and go with a short derailleur cage, all the better.

2/6/2025 6:59am I cant remember if the original post said USD or that was insinuated based on the other rumors. But it was referencing a long travel single crown with beefy headtube and 20m axel.

1/30/2025 7:23am the 2 references the twin tube damper not adjustments. At least that's how it was explained to me. The dpx2 was twin tube as well, which is why some people felt it was a step back releasing the float x.
