I think I've figured out how to get the wandering bite point, and also how to solve it when you get it. I do think the wandering bite point is caused by not bleeding (lever bleed or full bleed) without the contact adjustment fully wound out. Even a couple clicks wound in will cause some wandering bite point issues. So...
I had re-bleed my rear a few times to get it to feel the same, one thing that seemed to help was to pull a vacuum in the syringes and degas the mineral oil as much as I could. I recently got some adaptors for my pinner bleed cups and I'm hopeful that I can just leave the bleed cups...

TEAMROBOT Liked a comment about Feature Can a Pedal Kickback Denier See the Light?

I guess I'm confused by your writing. You said the chain isn't straight so "the chain cannot pull on the chainring," but then in the next sentence you said "the chain is heavy and the oscillations of the chain create a pull on the chainring." Similarly in your top post you said "yes, ochain works, but no there is not a pedal kickback issue" but then in your second post you said "the pawl-less hub does exactly what ochain does." If the pawls of the hub are being engaged, that is pedal kickback, no? If a spinning hub is being...

I always thought pedal kickback was also related to gearing ratio as well, so you experience way less kick back effect the further down the cassette you shift.

You can take transmission's pedal under load single button multishift from my cold dead fingers. Being able to just press a button and go ham on the pedals to get up an unexpected climb is so useful. And before you mention that Shimano says you can shift under load, just know that I've had multiple xt/xtr drivetrains shit the bed...

It should just be the first production run they sold out. You should be able to pre-order the shock. I have one on my Dreadnought V2 and it is.... Very good. Like.... holy shit is that shock good.

Well the new MI stuff got pushed back due to some production gremlins. So I'm not sure anyones running it yet. As soon as I get mine I'll give an update. Though from what he said in his latest email, sounds like the data that the v2 is much more accurate the the v1 as measured from a dyno so...

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus, but I am wondering if their super soft holds up pretty well or if their soft is fine for some slightly wet root/rocks.

I keep hearing great things about Conti tires, excited to finally try them out soon. Does anyone have any experience with the difference between conti Soft and Super Soft casings? I'm going to be spending a decent chunk of time in Sea to Sky area soon and I'm wondering if Soft will be "fine" for grip when it gets a...

All sports have gotten more professional, especially the non traditional "stick and ball" sports, and because of that the entire field is significantly better than it used to be. Margins are tighter and there's just more "capital from investors" looking for a return on said investment. And even if these guys were training just as hard "back then" as they...
Just to offer a counterpoint: Mavens are, hands down, the best brakes I've ever used. Across all the TRP, Shimano, SRAM, and Magura I have owned, nothing has come even close. The adjustability to get the brake to feel how you want between pad material, rotor size, bite point and lever reach is outstanding. And while the brakes feel great...

I think the phrase is "just because its new doesn't mean is better" Anyone have any ETA on when the 38 Grip X2 Damper upgrade might be available? its now officially "mid June"
I swear this particular brake has been particularly cursed. The front one? Just fine, no issues with the bleed and everything has felt right from the get go. The rear brake however, has been the problem child. Even after a few full bleeds, and a bunch of other tricks, the rear pistons kept being extremely lazy and not fully retracting...
