My guess is that you didn’t pull on the lower cage to release the button from setup mode, so it’s still “locked” in the setup mode. I’ve done that plenty of times, should be fine if you pull the cage forward to release the button from the cage.

String pot update... next iteration done and ready to ride. Testing duties will be delegated as I'm recovering from shoulder surgery but hopefully will have some results to share soon.

I love this podcast, I just hope it’s not dead! I’d love a frank discussion about the differences between the major suspension brands and their pros and cons. As someone who has invested money on tools for a particular brand I find myself oddly loyal to it, and since the barrier is so high to just “try” a suspension product...

I’m really curious on if anyone has been able to stick any of the new dampers between rs and fox on the dyno. I’m looking at replacing my 38 as it’s getting long in the tooth and starting to show signs of abuse. I guess I’m interested in how this would compare to the new zeb as well, assuming the...

I completely agree with this post and my own experiences with rear shocks. Slapping a new rear shock on isn't going to magically make the bike feel "better." In all honesty I think people expect their suspension to somehow remove any feeling of terrain underneath them which is just not what suspension does. In my opinion suspension is meant to...

Great! This would be awesome, working on some robotics/physical AI stuff for a job and I've been looking for a bike data acquisition setup that I can have free reign over. I'd rather have a board/setup someone has put together than trying to hobble one myself. I'm more of a software guy so the idea of running solder doesn't thrill...

This is sweet! I'd love to make something similar, would it be possible to pester you about what you used in this setup? A few questions for folks: have people had much luck with string pots? I was thinking for things with shock tunnels (e.g forbidden) using string pots might be a better way to go. Really starting to look...
Awesome! So it’s something any reasonable fox serving company could do. Here’s a Hail Mary, do you have any dyno charts/actual data showing the improvements over the previous gripx2? I think it would be really appreciated to see some numbers behind the claims.

You can - depends on your desire to order small parts and do disassembly and reassembly. The kits will become available and the tech can be applied. You can look up parts kits on the tech page, though MY27 won't appear for another few weeks: tech.ridefox.com

It's awesome Vital is getting enough recognition that Fox decided to chime in. So far they haven't done anything but clarify a few things and answer a couple questions. @FoxFactory can you upgrade an existing gripX2 with the new mid-valve or does it require a whole new damper?
