I fought this on 3 sets of Mavens and was driving myself mad. They would be perfect for some random length of time and then go to complete shit. I tried everything everyone recommended and nothing made it better, and things like the bleed cups actually made it worse. Before giving up, I rewatched the SRAM maven bleed video one...

It all comes down to policy. Removing the gold standard isn’t an issue in itself. An independent fed is a good thing. Simply there has been a total failure in leadership since the 90s on both sides of the aisle. When Clinton left office we were on a path to completely eliminate our national debt by the late 2000s. Since then we have continually increased our costs (some good, some bad) while cutting taxes across the board. But the shift (or realistically return) of the government supporting business over normal folk started much earlier. When Eisenhower was president taxes on...

1971 Nixon announced he was visiting China. 1972 it happened. An event so landmark it even spawned a John Adams Opera. I'd argue that the opening up of China to the geopolitical stage was landmark, mainly because China (unlike the other 2nd world powers at the time) was willing to leverage the power of its government, resources, and labor, for...

@sspomer I totally get your decision from a web resourcing point of view. Things get really expensive really quick when you need to tack on more power. A lot of cloud hosting providers price exponentially instead of linearly. That being said, I think not pinning a v2 and keeping this way of chatting about rumors is a mistake. This thread...

brace yourself... at the end of the year, we're going to lock this thread. while it's been amazing (thank you all!) and fun that we hit 1000 pages and over 7.5m views, this thread is a logistical and technical resource hog. it's also not easy to access older information. while there are a lot of upsides to the ease and convenience of posting to this thread, the downsides are outweighing the ups with it being so massive. please start a NEW thread to the hub for anything that has potential for legitimate discussion. good posts will be homepaged and the...

In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

I re-read this post and couldn't understand what you were trying to say. Not to mention your response seems filled with unnecessary vitriol over someone just mentioning a persons name. Judging by your response I can only assume that you're harboring some deep seeded PTSD from him crushing you at the local beer league endubro. Which I do personally feel...

For what it's worth, the spring rate calculator on the Vosprung "seems" to have to major variables outside of weight that dictate the spring rate it gives you. One of them is fitness level and the other is feel. I've gotten some pretty spectacularly different values (50lb difference) with the same weight by adjusting those. For me I've just ran...

we can, i got a Fast Suspension Fenix 2 instead, for the same money i would have paid for the Telum when bought directly and it’s great. i really like the mid speed compression to dial in support for different styled tracks. oh and it‘s available in stealth black and stealth black spring. they also offer lifelong warranty if you service the shock once a year and offer a rebuild in different lengths and metric/trunnion conversions so you buy one shock and can keep it when you‘re switching the frame

Brother, its probably just a simple mistake - sure its a little confusing but its not like there isn't a clear and blindingly obvious pathway for you to purchase a shock if thats what you genuinely are trying to do. It's probably not been a major problem for anyone else, and there might be something in the backend that makes it a little harder to simply turn off - I know that is normally built in to the payment/shopping platform but don't run a webstore so not sure. There are sometimes products that don't have an obvious answer for how...

Dude, we know you don't like Vorsprung's distributor model, and without Vorsprung here to lay down their opinions its now sounding like someone screaming into the void. I'm sure Vorsrpung has fairly good reasons for why they wont sell to you, and why their website store allows you to select every country under the sun. My guess is that they...

Forbidden for sure, there's a reason they have a cult following. Also they have great customer service Transition is just great to deal with and their bikes are solid. I'd probably ride them if I wasn't such a forbidden fanboy. Ibis/Pivot seems to end up having loyal followers who love to buy bilgy high margin bikes. They also are great...

Question for @NoahColorado How do you feel these things work with something like a Smashpot? Vorsprung's recommended spring rates seem pretty damn good, but I'm assuming they are more geared to dampers without a ton of support. Would you suggest keeping the recommended Smashpot spring rate or going down a spring rate?

Look, the last thing I’ll say about it is that I generally hope I’m wrong. If I’m wrong, then the world’s a better place and all my concerns are unfounded and really good things happen to humanity. I want to be wrong, however, if I’m not wrong, then oh boy are we all in for a world of hurt. In...
