I think you should know something : Samwell is the team manager of dorval. So I think he knows a thing or two about downhill racing. And Patrice afflalet (Scott team manager) says pretty much the same thing on a french forum.

9/24/2023 1:51am Yup, before everyone is choking on stoke for these groms, Longroad is right, yeah the groms are kinda quick but will be frothing to be noticed, the pros are running for fun and to keep the rides levels safely rolling till the WC. Lets not take too much from the "seeding" times... (or even final results)

Let’s not get too carried away. Most of these non-American factory guys and gals racing are doing it because it’s a sponsor requirement. Their main goal is not getting hurt before the next two rounds.

Damn, chill out boys..... perhaps TLD is colab'in with a rider/artist to sell more stuff, so they can support more racers... Brands collab with artists (big and small) all the time, MG seems to be part of the TLD family, so it works for them. Your narrow opinions seem to be limited in understanding and as you say rather old man boomerish. Chillnride man.

Man, amazing what a little lipstick can do for an event. The full redbull package really made this feel like a world cup. I even noticed Rob almost slipped and said "...first (world cup) race of the season. Can't wait for the rest of the season and honestly I hope the actual WC coverage is this good. What a treat to just get MORE coverage of more races. Balls now in your court discovery, dont fuck this up. Also, DH racing is fucking awesome.

The Ride Companion Podcast recently caught up with Brendan Fairclough to chat about his 2023 plans and much more. In this excerpt, Brendog hilariously compares the differences between attending a Supercross and World Cup downhill race. Jokes aside, it's a comparison many people, myself included, make when we speculate why downhill racing isn't more popular or mainstream. But let's face it, downhill is a difficult spectator sport compared to a Supercross event held in a stadium. That's not to say downhill racing can't continue to grow, but Supeross vs. UCI DH probably isn't the most accurate comparison to continue making.

Hey Mug Here's what I have been told. The low setting drops the bb on the rough and increases the squat. In the high, its got a ton of anti-squat and lifts the bb. What I have found when racing my Blue/white Fab Edition, the lower mount makes the braking feel smoother. In the top setting, I find it's a heap more choppy and bounces/skippy into rough corners. Dee
